Honeysuckle Cottage, Sleeps 6, Spacious, Nr Exeter

We would love to welcome you to our ‘little piece of Devon’. Honeysuckle cottage is situated on our family farm and is a large, spacious cottage. It sleeps six and has its own garden and BBQ. We also have a large outdoor heated pool which is perfect for splashing around with the kids or for relaxing and topping up your tan. Whether you are a family, a group of friends or on a work trip, Honeysuckle cottage is incredibly homely and only a stones throw from Exeter. We hope to see you soon! As you pass through the iron gate and under the archway of sweet smelling Honeysuckle you enter the private courtyard. This south facing spacious area is perfect for summer BBQ’s as we provide a gas BBQ, picnic table and an umbrella. Lounge & Diner: You can enter the cottage through the conservatory which leads into the spacious lounge-diner which has wonderful old oak beams and a feature fireplace. There are comfy sofas for all of the family along with a flat screen TV and a DVD player. To greet you we provide fresh flowers and a guest information pack on the dining room table. We of course provide free WiFi. The Kitchen: The country kitchen is complete with appliances including a microwave, fridge, freezer, electric cooker and a dishwasher. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided along with all the cutlery, plates, pots and pans that you might require. Downstairs Bathroom: This family bathroom is on the ground floor. It has a bath, shower, wash hand basin, separate toilet and heated towel rail. 1st Bedroom: The first bedroom has zip and link beds so you can have twin beds or a super king, just let us know. It has recently been redecorated and has a dressing table, wardrobe and bedside table. 2nd Bedroom: You will find this twin room through a door which leads off from the master bedroom. This spacious room has enough room for a cot and has just been redecorated with Joules bedding. The Master Bedroom: Has been decorated in a neutral and country style and bodes a large comfortable king size bed. There is also a TV with DVD player. It also has an en-suite shower room. The En-suite Shower Room: This has been our latest project. The en-suite is modern and has a toilet, shower and hand basin. So you’ve got one less thing to worry about, we provide all of the bedding and towels in the cottage.l The Swimming Pool: Swim and splash around with the children in our large 32ft long outdoor heated swimming pool. It is open from mid May until late September and is heated to between 75-80’F. We also provide a range of children’s pool toys including floats and diving sticks. We also have a newly built pool house, with comfy chairs and views over the pool. This is the perfect place to watch the children, read a book or enjoy an evening tipple. Play Areas: We feel it is very important for parents to have a relaxing break whilst on holiday, that’s why we have invested in a wide range of play equipment to keep the children occupied. Outside there is a playhouse, 12ft trampoline, swings, slides, climbing frames and ride on toys. For rainy days there is an indoor games room which has a table tennis and pool table. Garden & Lawn: Our garden has a large flat lawned area which is perfect for games of football, cricket, rounders or simply running around. You are of course welcome to bring your family’s favourite toys to use in this area. We also have a separate laundry room with a washing machine and tumble drier that you are able to use. Honeysuckle cottage is semi-detached and my family and I only live next door so we are easy to contact if you have any queries. I will meet you when you arrive and will show you around the property. There is also a welcome book filled with useful local information. In addition if you would like a supermarket delivery, Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s deliver to the cottage. I am happy to greet them, just let me know if you arrange this service. Honeysuckle Cottage is nestled on our picturesque sheep and beef farm. Our country cottage is located mid way between the cathedral city of Exeter and Cullompton and therefore a mere 5 minutes drive from the M5 Junction 28. This means our location is rural and quiet but still convenient to access major local businesses such as: Killerton House (2 miles), Exeter Airport (8 miles), Westpoint (10 miles) and all that Exeter has to offer such as Exeter University, Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Sowton Industrial Estate, The Met Office etc. are less than 30 minutes’ drive. Our ideal location makes us popular with business guests and also holiday makers who are looking to explore our diverse county. The sandy beaches of the south coast such as Exmouth are a short drive alternatively head to the north coast beaches such as Woolacombe which are always popular with surfers. The National Trusts' Killerton House is only a couple of miles away in Broadclyst and Knightshayes Court at Tiverton is also well worth a visit. Families are spoilt for choice but tend to love exploring Diggerland, Quad World and Crealy Adventure Park. Due to our rural location guests generally find it easier to get around if they have a vehicle. We have free ample parking for up to three vehicles. Regular bus services are available between Exeter and Tiverton on the Culm Valley Connect. The bus stop is about 500m from the farm entrance. Exeter airport is about 6 miles away.
