Manor Cottage Lodge is close to Leeds and Wakefield , with great motorway links .Its a great location for visiting the Art triangle and other local areas of beauty and interest . We are on a street just off the main road . A modern contemporary space , the lodge is close to the main house & offers all the home from home comforts, own living space , kitchen and dining space double bedroom & ensuite bathroom . It has a seated outdoor area accessed by patio doors to rear of apartment. Manor Cottage Lodge is tucked away at the side of the main house. There is a large garden to rear with private BBQ space. This spacious accommodation offers a hidden space to escape to with everything you need ... The lodge has its own living , catering dining space with log burner for those winter evenings , it also has double bedroom with en suite shower.. In Summer make use of your own patio area with BBQ and chiminea for warm lazy summer evenings . During the winter months snuggle up in front of log burner . Guests will arrive to an inviting fire and a large basket of logs , additional bags may be purchased at £5. It's close , walking distance to all local amenities and transport links could not be better. This is my quirky family cottage home , you will always receive a warm welcome from us and hope you enjoy the relaxed ambiance we feel it offers . Manor Cottage Lodge has its own private access , it is a self contained annexe , and offers off road parking . We will meet you upon arrival , and help you with any needs or concerns . As much or as little as you would like , in order to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible . Our aim is to meet all guests on arrival, however on occasions if not possible The Lodge will be made available for you to access upon arrival. I will be available to help you if you are not familiar with the local area or transport routes . I am happy to assist guests with restaurant bookings offer advice on local visitor attractions . This property is ideally situated for all tastes , whether it is a quiet evening away or you want or visit the nearby shops and restaurants , parks and leisure facilities or the new Drive in Cinema The property offers a large English country cottage style garden, the old brick wall surrounding makes it a private area you are welcome to relax in. There are a variety of Restaurants all situated in Xscape which is within 5 /10 minutes walking distance these include ... Nandos , Pizza Express , Chiquitos , The Winter Seam , Ask , Frankie and Bennys , Bella Italia , Burgers and Cocktails , Starbucks , TGI Fridays , Subway , Sno bar , Burger King and 50 50 . Also in Xscape is the ski slope , cinema , bowling, sky climb experience , and outlet shopping at Jct 32 lots to keep you entertained during your stay We also have a number of local pubs which offer home cooked food and drink again just a few minutes walk away. If you are a Rugby fan , we are home to Castleford Tigers , the ground is a 5 minute drive or a short approx 20 minute away . Pontefract race course is a short drive or 10 minute walk , it's great for a walk around the Lake or for the more energetic among you a stroll around Britains longest race course .. If you are a runner then jog along to parcrun a 5k run for all abilities which takes place every Saturday morning . I might join you :) Or check the fixture dates for a day or evening at the Races . The 410 Bus stop is just outside the house taking you directly into Leeds town centre or Glasshoughton train station is just a short walk from the Lodge where trains run regularly if travelling by train if prior notice given I can meet and collect you upon arrival. It's just a short drive to York definitely worth a visit , a beautiful shopping town , the Shambles and Betty's cafe a Yorkshire favourite. We are situated perfectly if you wish to visit the Yorkshire Art triangle a short drive to all venues . The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a short drive , it offers a scenic walk around Brettons finest park and home to some of Henry Moores famous sculptures. The exhibitions change regularly so worth checking what's on Sophie Ryder has also a couple of pieces residing here. There is also a Drive in Cinema just 5 minutes drive away , checkout Groupon for offers of reduced rate £12.50!per car instead of usual £25 per car . The accommodation is situated to suit guests who prefer to walk to local amenities or if you prefer to use this space as base to visit local attractions by car or public transport it could not be easier . Castleford is ideally situated for all commuters , Glasshoughton train station is just a short 10 minute walk . There is another train station in Castleford town centre approx 5 minutes in car. Train timetables are available or I can find out for you if you need any help regarding your planned journeys . By Car : The M62 with A1 and M1 links is just a couple of minutes by car ..
