Holiday parking and drop off/pick up for Gatwick offered While part of the main house, this area is designed as an Annex with its' own external entrance and is locked off from the rest of the house, allowing for total privacy. It has been furnished to a high standard to provide very comfortable accommodation. The Double Bedroom has a super comfortable Dux bed with high thread count cotton bedlinen, goose down duvet and a choice of pillows. A large built in wardrobe and chest of drawers provides plenty of storage for overnight or longer stays. There is an easy chair and a dining chair. The table with the TV on it has drop down leaves so can be extended for further work/ dining space. The dining chair can be exchanged for an office style chair if required and a further dining chair can be added (just ask). With superfast fibre broadband and the 32" Smart TV, both leisure and work requirements are met. The shower room provides a walk in shower and is designed as a wet room. Organic shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided along with other useful items (even a hot water bottle). There are thick towels, dressing gowns and storage cupboards/ drawers. The Kitchenette while small, provides all that is needed to make basic meals with kettle, Nespresso coffee making, large selection of teas/ coffees/ chocolate, microwave, single induction hob, Air fryer, Contact Grill, toaster, crockery and cutlery and cooking utensils. There is sole use of a fridge, and freezer space in the garage immediately next door. Please do not expect a fully operational kitchen and the photos give an accurate picture of the space available. All the standard amenities of hairdryer, iron and ironing board are provided along with many thoughtful extras. The aim is to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so if you have any special requests please do not hesitate to ask. Breakfast can be provided as an extra, (Covid restrictions allowing) if requested in advance, with details emailed on booking. Please advise of any special dietary requests. There is full access to the large garden and fields. There is a private outside area for al fresco meals in summer. We allow up to 2 dogs for an additional charge of £10 but please check before booking with breed and size details. The gate from the drive is left open and dogs should never be left unattended in the garden, and remain the responsibility of their owners at all times. Please be respectful of the furniture (no dogs on the bed) and dogs should not be left unattended in the room and any damage or excessive dirt will be charged at cost. There is plenty of driveway parking, away from and not visible from the road. There are half hourly buses throughout the day to and from Horsham/Brighton (Mon- Sat). The bus stop is 10 minutes walk away. There are less frequent buses to Haywards Heath. While not essential, a car certainly makes life easier. The nearest shops are 3 miles away in Cowfold/ Horsham. Nearby we have South Lodge Hotel, Brookfield Barn and Cisswood Hotel. Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens is 15 minutes walk away, along with numerous National Trust, Public gardens and the Knepp Wilding Project within easy access. There are beautiful walks to explore and we are only 30 minutes from Brighton and the Coast. Drop off/ pick up service for Gatwick Airport (20 mins), or Horsham mainline station (10 mins). Car storage, off road parking. The PloughPub, 100m, serves basic food (Famous for it's Fish and Chips Fryday). Numerous pubs with excellent food within 5-10 minutes drive. South Lodge Hotel and Cisswood House Hotel both in village. Brookfield Barn 1 mile. World famous Leonardslee Gardens within walking distance. Easy access to Brighton, National Trust properties and Gardens. A car for access to sights and pubs is recommended but not essential. Local taxis are available for pre booking and details are provided on your booking itinerary. If attending weddings/ functions Cisswood is 500m, and South Lodge is just about 1km which is walkable on main roads with pavements. Brookfield Barn is a little over 1km, I would not recommend walking it as there are no pavements and the road is narrow, uneven and can be busy. All taxis need to be pre booked. Given notice and depending on my availability I try to give a lift to the venue, or a lift to collect your car the next morning for these local venues. Bus service to/from Brighton, Haywards Heath and Horsham. Horsham, Three Bridges and Haywards Heath mainline stations. Gatwick 20 mins by car. This is a family house and so others will be coming and going but noise is kept to a minimum. The two resident dogs are very friendly but are excluded from your area. We would ask that guests be respectful of the keeping noise levels down in the evenings.
