Stunning Rural Farmhouse B&B - Double Bedroom

Shabby chic in a beautiful Dorset location. Stafford Farm is a pretty listed totally unspoilt but quirky Georgian farmhouse. We are very much a family home so you would be sharing your stay with us and our animals. This listing is for our double room. If you would like to book the Twin Room in addition to this booking please do so through the separate listing. Our Double Bedroom has a comfortable bed and tea making factilities. The bathroom is huge with an antique bath and sink. Please note the toilet is downstairs with a sink for exclusive guest use. We also have a twin room to sleep up to 2 available under separate listing to easily accommodate a party of 4. West Stafford is a beautiful village ideally located just 7 minutes drive from Dorchester. We are also 12 minutes from Ringstead Bay which is perfect for swimming and is part shingle and sand. The walking is stunning and you are welcome to bring a well behaved dog but dogs are not allowed upstairs or in the bedrooms. Strictly no smoking in the house. Breakfast is continental but we may be able to accommodate a full cooked breakfast for an additional supplement of £7.50 per person. We have many local options for evening meals. The closest is the Wise Man pub in West Stafford a 15 minute stroll away which serves delicious food. You are welcome to relax in our garden which has an orchard area and gardens to the front and side. Children are welcome to use our trampoline at their own risk (there is no safety net). We have outside tables and chairs for relaxing. Breakfast is in the dining room at our large dining table. We also have plenty of books and games to borrow. We have kept the house to it's original format and therefore there are no ensuite toilets. Guests may use the downstairs toilet with sink exclusively, as well as the very large upstairs bathroom. Please note that the bath dates from the 1920s and the enamel is rough with wear! There is plenty of parking space but please watch out for chickens and dogs! We will be available at breakfast time and in the evening. We are in the heart of Hardy country. Thomas Hardy’s birthplace is a 5 minute drive away. The fantastic Jurassic Coast is only a short distance away with amazing cliff walks and many beaches including Weymouth, Studland, Durdle Door and the geographical phenomenon Chesil Beach. We are directly on a bridlepath with numerous footpaths on our doorstep. Price includes a continental breakfast but AGA cooked full English breakfasts using fresh local produce, including our own eggs can be ordered for a supplement. I run a baking business from home and all bread is homemade, along with seasonal compotes depending on the time of year.
