The Farmstead Tatura is a naturally beautiful, make-yourself-at-home B&B property just outside of Tatura in the Goulburn Valley, regional Victoria. We are down to earth people, at our essence we're here to simply offer a comfortable bed, a hot shower and a home away from home experience. We also value style, a little luxury and natural beauty which we are lucky enough to have been able to combine when creating the stay we now offer to you. THE B&B - REST IN COMFORT & STYLE • Your linen adorned queen-sized bed is made. • Drop your bags, flop back and take a minute. • The mini bar is full, everything's where it should be, including you. • The waterfall shower awaits. • The guest room is a relaxed, light filled, well appointed, modern Australian country style bed and breakfast accommodation. • Private entrance to the bedroom with ensuite bathroom located in our large 1920’s Californian Bungalow farmhouse. • Designed for a couple, cosy queen sized bed, table and chairs, tv, Netflix, a selection of books and magazines, wardrobe & hangers, bar fridge, toaster, kettle and tea and coffee making facilities. • Quality linen and range of toiletries supplied. • A light, self service breakfast hamper will be provided to enjoy at your leisure. Relax, refresh and reconnect. Amongst 5 acres of lawn, trees and garden for you to wander around & unwind, outdoor seating areas to get some work done or you can relax into the afternoon with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset. Or simply unwind in the farmhouse lounge with a book in front of the fire, watch Netflix in bed all day or sit on the old Australian veranda with a cup of tea. A BBQ, outdoor fire place and courtyard area also adjoins the guestroom. Please advise us if you’d like to use the area and wood/bbq kit will be provided for your use. The lounge area adjacent to your room is part of the main farmhouse, please feel free to relax and unwind in the lounge, but please note it is a shared space as we will access the kitchen and stoke the wood fire as required. We enjoy traveling and meeting new people, but we also lead a busy life and respect your privacy. If we aren't home restoring the farmhouse or recreating the large garden, we both work locally and can be contacted via mobile at all times, we will be more than happy to assist you with any thing we can during your stay. Our location is a cracker! We're far enough away from Melbourne that you'll rest fully and we're close to Tatura and Shepparton, making us an ideal spot for a range of guests, from folks doing business locally, to couples wanting to press the pause button on a busy life. Known affectionately as the food bowl of Australia, we are surrounded by fertile farmlands- orchards, farms, horse studs and tree lined waterways! Stonefruit, apples, pears, cherries, olives, grapes and loads of other farm produce is available during the season from farm gate sales. Farmers markets, art galleries, cut flower farm, walking trails, bush land, river swimming & fishing, boutique wineries, cider house and multiple golf clubs are all at our doorstep for you to explore. We are located close to the Goulburn (7kms), with a short drive to the Murray and Campaspe rivers and Waranga Basin. For the wine lovers, we are a less than an hour to the renown Nagambie Wine region. Offering world class wine, river frontage with boat tours and a fantastic array of fine food and chocolate. Daytrips within an hours drive include destinations like Echuca, Dookie, Euroa and Avenel. You will find a comprehensive compendium in the guestroom with local maps, information and restaurant suggestions. We've also included a basket with picnic supplies and blanket should you wish to have a look around the local area. As The Farmstead Tatura is set in a private, rural location, you will require a car during your stay. 5kms from Tatura 16 kms from Shepparton 175 kms northeast of Melbourne Airport Regular train service from Melbourne to Shepparton with reliable local taxi service available The Farmstead Tatura is surrounded by working farms which includes a dairy nearby and a grazing /cropping farm directly around the farmhouse. As such, at times there may be animals, farm machinery and other equipment operational around the farm. So be prepared for all things on a normal farm smells, noises and farm terrain! You are welcome to walk up the laneways and around our grounds but we ask please do not open gates or enter the paddocks unless you have prior permission as they may contain livestock. Animals also live on this farm, including three very friendly dogs, chooks and an outdoor cat.
