Wolgan Valley Escapes- "The Barn"

"The Barn" is a self contained log cabin in the heart of the beautiful Wolgan Valley-part of the Blue Mountains World Heritage area. Bordering on the Wollemi National Park. Access to Glow worm tunnel, Newnes historic ruins and peace & tranquility. There is a beaut outdoor fireplace,with firewood supplied-you bring the marshmallows! Inside is very cosy with a combustion fireplace already set for you-just light it,sit back and relax. Large ceiling fan for hot days.A Barbecue for outdoor cooking,gas stove indoors.Full size fridge,Satellite TV,games,linen, towels,plates/cups/cutlery, condiments (incl. salt n pepper) supplied. You are free to walk or drive around the property-please remember to shut gates as "Koopartoo" is a working cattle farm. Come and go as you please-there are many local things to see-The Glow worm tunnel,Newnes historic ruins,The Old Newnes Hotel/Museum,State Mine Museum,and much more. We can check in on you as often as you like,please remember there is no mobile phone coverage or internet,but a landline is available at the main farmhouse approx. one km. away from "The Barn". "The Barn" is situated on "Koopartoo",a working beef cattle property in the heart of the Wolgan Valley. SUV or a car with clearance is recommended as there are a few km's of unsealed road. Also a causeway across the Wolgan River. You will need some supplies as shops are a fair way away- once you arrive,you may find you don't want to leave!! Lots of bushwalking adventures-sturdy footwear recommended.If its not too cold,the Wolgan River is very refreshing.
