Room Four - Belvedere
Situated in the historic town of Ludlow the Grade II listed building that has been described as "the best surviving medieval inn in Ludlow" and, an inn is what we are. We understand our name "The Bull Hotel" automatically gives you expectations of... well a hotel however we are a 16th Century Coaching Inn that has rooms located above the bar but we have been known as The Bull Hotel since 1508. Room Four is most popular room, its located the furthest away from the Bar and it has plenty of character. Re-decorated in a beautiful Peacock designed wallpaper from Laura Ashley and midnight blue finishing. I took over The Bull Hotel back in July 2017. Initially concluding, I had bitten off more than I can chew when it came to choosing The Bull as my first venture into the industry. Prior to being a publican, most of my working career was as a Navigation Officer within the Merchant Navy as Navigation Officer followed briefly as a Specialist Search and Detection Dog Handler. Running a Pub is something I had always wanted to do and when the opportunity to take over The Bull came up, I jumped in feet first and six days later I was officially a Publican. It has taken a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears to turn the premises around. Since becoming the Landlord of The Bull, I have had to change a lot to bring this once vibrant Pub back up to its former glory. I started with the structural jobs such as major roof repairs, treatment of the beams and joists, electrical issues etc... In January 2018 I had full ground floor refurbishment to bring the interior up into the 21st century. since then I have slowly worked my way round redecorating along with the transformation of the courtyard. I have a lot left to do but it is my passion and it has been and will continue to be a learning curve The Bull Hotel is situated in the historic town of Ludlow. It offers a large bar area, comfortable lounge area which has been recently refurbished and It is a stones throw from historic landmarks such as Ludlow Castle as well as the Market in the town square. There are nearly 500 listed buildings in Ludlow and the original medieval street layout survives to this day almost unchanged. Today, the population of Ludlow is just under 12,000.
