generous private room in big country home

Enjoy the calm and the beauty of the French country side. We are in the heart of the Tursan vineyards, a few steps away from the historic pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago, and just minutes from the health cure baths of Eugénie-les-Bains. We have 4 generous private rooms for you, in our big country home. Prince for the room 18€ for a single room, 25€ for a double room. The rooms are located on the second floor of the house as well as the bathroom and WC for our guests. It gets a queen size bed and windows to the south side that let in a lot of light. On the first floor is the kitchen that you are welcome to use. Outside is a big garden, with different areas like the sunbathed terrace in front of the house, our outside "summer kitchen", our vegetable garden, a bonfire area, ... You are welcome to use the kitchen if you want to. We like to talk with our guests. We are fluent in French and German, and also speak English pretty well. We have two cats and a donkey who love to cuddle. If you are visiting with kids, our donkey Melba loves company. The kids can pet her and even ride her if they like. She is very calm, friendly and used to kids. If you would rather do your thing and keep calm, we are fine with it too. Only 2km away is the small town of Geaune, the heart of the Tursan vineyard, there you will find everything you need (post office, bakery, farmacy, a convenience store, tobacco shop, a banks , restaurants, and even antique and vintage dealers if you are looking for the special something). It is a very lively and friendly place that has regular farmers markets, flea markets, and various local festivities. Also only 2 km away is the small village called Pimbo. It is a stop on famous the Camino de Santiago, the pilgrimage route of St-James. You will love the rustic charm of this little village, its old church and its magnificent view over the Pyrénées. The village of Eugénie-les-Bains, which is renowned for its mineral water baths, is only 10km away. You can go there for a health cure, spa treatments, to visit the gorgeous flower gardens or to eat at the gourmet restaurant which has 3 Michelin stars. Of course, everywhere around our house you can find ways to explore the area by foot or by bike. If you are interrested in visiting vineyards, you are in the kmright place. We are in the heart of the Tursan, and only a 30 minutes ride away are the vineyards of the Saint-Mont and the Madiran. Bordeaux and its airport are 2 hours from our house. Pau is less than an hour and the small airport is 40 minutes. In 1h15 you could discover the gorgeous Vallée d'Ossau, or visit Lourdes and maybe wistness a miracle. If you would like see the ocean, the closest beach is 1h30. But if you would rather go to the "côte Basque" (all cities along the ocean between Bayonne and Spain) to surf or shop in Biarritz, it is about 1h45.
