Korean traditional house in Bukchon Hanok Village
This is a Korean traditional house located in Bukchon Hanok village in Samcheong dong, Jongno gu, Seoul We're hoping to introduce you the unique experience of staying in this hanok housing which also won 2005 new architect award with. Please come and enjoy the hanok experience and also the scenic view of our neighborhood that conveys the long history of traditional housing! The living room we have dining table with TV. In our kitchen we have sufficient amount of cooking and dining wears, fridge, microwave, mini oven, electric kettle and washing machine ready for you. We have two bathroom both indoor and outdoor, indoor bath room has tub. In our first bedroom there's super single size bed next to the couch and a cozy attic opened to the whole space where our young guests can hangout and sleep. And the small private room below the attic we have a bed set for one person. And the second bedroom we have queen size bed also a space with sofa and a tea table. There's also another private room next to the second living room that has access to the second bedroom and directly to the garden. This room and the second bedroom has a beautiful view of Inwang mountain. In the garden we have mini barbeque grill, outdoor table and chairs. Also a outdoor restroom. We can bring a crib to the house when it's required! Also fire extinguishers both indoor and outdoor. My mother who is also co-hosting the house lives 15minutes away from the house. Just in case I'm not available at the moment she'll come to give you a hand. Please let us know if you need anything.^^ This neighborhood is famous for reserving and restoring the old hanok korean housing. Taking a few minutes walk in the neighborhood would be a very unique experience for you. There's also a big park named 'Samcheong park' is 3minutes walk from the house. And if you walk 5-7minutes there's also a cultural district near by the Jeongdok library which has lot of good restaurants and shopping places. If you walk a 5minutes further from there there's Insadong which is known for korean traditional markets and galleries. And if you walk down the hill there's Samcheong dong district where has lots of galleries and restaurants and shops. The house is located very near to the city center, you can go to City hall, Seoul station or Jonggak by taking a local mini buses. It takes 15-20 minutes walk to the nearest subway station which is Anguk station line3. If you take a mini bus number 1 or 2, it'll take 2 minutes to the Anguk station. Also the bus goes to Jonggak and Insadong. There's also a mini bus otherside down the hill, the Samcheong dong district. You can take the bus number 11 there. It goes to Gwanghwa mun, City hall and Seoul station. Near the bus stop for bus number 11, you can walk through the Korean presidency residence aka Blue House to reach the Seochon area and Kyeongbok palace. Parking is almost impossible here since the road is comparably narrow. This is a very quiet neighborhood. I would appreciate if you can be careful with too much noise after night time!:)
