Melrose Place.

Our spacious ground floor apartment at the end of a residential cul-dul-sac in the beautiful Scottish Borders town of Melrose.There is off road parking for two vehicles at the front. The flat is located within walking distance(1.5 miles)via a path behind the flat,old railway line,leading to the town centre. Self check in via key safe. There are opportunities for cycling,fishing and walking. Lovely bars and restaurants in Melrose too. Our place is ideal for families but we don’t have a cot for babies but you’re welcome to bring one if required. Please let us know if you wish to bring any pets and how many you would like to bring. We love dogs but our future guests may not, so all we ask is to clean up any mess,if any,and NO pets on or in our beds,if you want pets sitting beside you on the sofas please use your own covers. Please do not leave pets in the flat unattended. There’s a plastic tray in the kitchen for you to put feeding bowls on wherever you want to avoid any spillages. Please No smoking inside the building ,only use outside areas such as the patio, you can put cigarette ends in the sand bucket in the back garden. I don’t charge extra fees for cleaning,unlike some,so please help me by keeping our flat tidy when you leave. There’s two off road parking spaces at the front of the flat. Arts and crafts and a good book shop. Also a local co-op in Melrose,15 minute walk. Asda fuel and Tescos supermarkets In Galashiels also M&S approx 4 miles away. Melrose train station closed in 1969 but Tweed bank railway station to Edinburgh is a couple of miles along the A6091 which was built on the old tracks in 1987. Borders hospital with A+E half a mile away,hopefully not required. Ideal base for walking the Eildon hills. The Borders railway is approx one mile away with a bus service to and from. Asda 24hour fuel and Tesco’s supermarkets in Galashiels, four miles away. Esso fuel on the road to Gattonside opposite the Volvo garage. Melrose centre is around a 15 minute walk through the housing estate,which takes you to the high street near the rugby ground, or along the old railway track behind the flat leading to the old Melrose station and the top part of the town. There’s a folding dining table and four chairs in one of the cupboards for you wheel into the lounge area. A shelving unit in here is ideal for walking boots. Please do NOT hang wet coats on radiators to dry as it marks the walls,there’s a cupboard with hooks for this purpose. The main road behind the flat can be noisy at peak times and with some motor bikes and Emergency vehicles ,but the bedrooms are at the front of the flat so are quiet.
