Trecombe Lakes
Trecombe Lakes is one of Cornwall's loveliest new glampsites set in an idyllic woodland and lakeside location near the beautiful seaside town of Falmouth. Each Pod has its own small but perfectly formed kitchen with electric hob, sink and fridge, a neat little shower room with sink and toilet and one double and two single beds. Made from highly insulated and sustainable material, with double glazed windows and a small electric heater, our Pods are designed to be warm and cosy in the winter while keeping temperatures in check in the summer. Each pod has a decked area with seating, a Webber BBQ, and your very own fire pit where open fires and toasting marshmallow are obligatory! Feel free to explore our nine acres of lakes and woodland where you will discover a row boat and canoe as well as a woodland play area with an upturned boat, climbing wall, tree house, climbing nets and rope swings. For peace of mind the woodland play area and Pods are fenced off from the lakes and are only accessible through a wooden gate. There is a lodge house which provides a small communal area with a large fridge, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a TV link to our barn owl, bat and bird box cameras as well as books, games and general information that all our guests are welcome to enjoy. We do not live on site but are there every day and are always available if needed Other wise we will leave you alone to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Trecombe Lakes. With three lovely family beaches found just 15 minutes drive away in the historic town of Falmouth, Perranporth and Portreath on the North coast and Porthcurno on the South, you are never far away from a great day by the sea. Falmouth has more than just beaches to offer, The National Maritme muesem, Penndennis castle, ferry and fishing trips, endless great restaurants and plenty of quirky shops make it a great place to spend a day or two. Just around the corner is The Potager Organic Garden and Cafe offering a really relaxed experience and serving delicious homemade cakes, veggie breakfasts and wholesome lunches from their lovely glass house cafe. Further afield are the The Eden project, St Micheals mount and the stunning cliff side Minnack theatre. The beautiful fishing ports of St Ives and Porthleven are also not to be missed. A car is highly recommended although there is a local bus that runs hourly to falmouth and surrounding villages.
