My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (dogs only). Please let us know when booking if you are bringing your dog. This fully self-contained tropical hideaway is only a short stroll (250 meters) to the beach and minutes from the bustling Hervey Bay Esplanade. Offering loft style accommodation with a separate entrance, secluded garden/BBQ area and direct pool access, this studio is the perfect weekend or midweek getaway. Complete with a private double bedroom with separate air conditioning, separate air-conditioned living area, bathroom and kitchenette, you will have everything you need to relax and enjoy your time on the beautiful Fraser Coast. We provide secure off street parking, own washing facilities and a dog friendly environment. Live stream TV and movies (Netflix and Stan), Wi-Fi are all included in your nightly rate. For our furry dog friends they don't have to share (if they don't want to) the yard. The studio has a fully fenced yard to allow your dogs to also have their own space. Your hosts enjoy meeting new people but also understand our guests may just want to chill out in their own space. After all this is your holiday! For our furry dog friends - The Council provides a number of dog off-leash areas along the foreshore across the Fraser Coast. These areas provide the opportunity to play, exercise and socialise leash-free with other dogs and dog park visitors.Dog off-leash areas can include facilities such as seating, water, dog waste bins/litter bag dispensers and some shaded areas. The closest dog off-leash areas to our home are the Pialba (Foreshore) - between Taylor Street and Zephyr Street. Duration 3pm - 8am and the Point Vernon (Foreshore) - between Aplin Street and the Pines Park (with the exception of the southern entry to 40m north of last playground) duration 24 hours. Things to do - ISLAND LIFE - whether you’re a rugged camping type or prefer barefoot luxury in a resort, a stint on World Heritage Listed Fraser Island will steal a piece of your heart. Swim in crystal-clear Lake McKenzie surrounded by 1000-year-old native trees and the call of kookaburras. Drive up the sandy highway of 75 Mile Beach and spot rare native dingoes. Explore the bush heart of the island and stop for a selfie at the Maheno Wreck. THE WHALE WATCHING CAPITAL - nowhere else in the world can you have such close encounters of the humpback kind. You may have heard of whale watching, but here, the whales go people watching. Hop aboard a whale watching tour during the season from July to November each year for guaranteed sightings of the gentle giants at play. Learn how to speak whale (among other things) at the Fraser Coast Discovery Sphere and join in the annual Whale Festival. FAMOUS NEIGHBOURS - From heritage houses to deserted beaches and fields of macadamia nut trees, the Fraser Coast has a few surprises over the back fence. Celebrate Mary Poppins’ author P.L. Travers in her hometown of Maryborough every year when the Mary Poppins Festival rolls (or should that be flies?) into town. Hand feed wild dolphins in Tin Can Bay. See the coloured sands of Rainbow Beach on the Great Cooloola Walk. Visit Lady Elliot Island and the start of the Great Barrier Reef, only a 40 minute scenic flight from Hervey Bay. Our home is located just over a kilometre from the Hervey Bay Transit Centre at Stockland Shopping Centre so if you are travelling by coach or train we are easy to get to. Our area is also serviced by Wide Bay Transit which provides several different bus and coach services for locals and visitors to the Fraser Coast region. These include, town and inter-town services covering Maryborough-Hervey Bay, Tilt-train link service between Maryborough-Hervey Bay and day tours to events and attractions within our region or neighbouring regions. If you have no car, average walking times to various attractions are: Blue Shop Convenience Store 3 minutes Hervey Bay Hotel 5 minutes Coffee Bean Coffee Shop 10 minutes Pialba Place Shopping Centre and Hervey Bay RSL Club 10 minutes Stockland Shopping Centre 15 minutes Bay Tavern 15 minutes Enzo's at the Beach Scarness 25 minutes We respect our neighbours and our future guests and we would really appreciate if you only smoke outside in the garden areas and keep noise to a minimum later in the evenings so we can all enjoy the relaxing environment.
