Sometimes we visit family but our staff, with us for 10 years, are charming, helpful. I am always contactable (depending on time zones!) The quaint village of Gordon's Bay lies at the foot of the magnificent Hottentot Holland and Helderberg Mountains at the edge of False Bay, enjoying warmer sea waters than Cape Town. The village is authentic South African with quaint colourful shops with friendly people. Security is excellent and it is relaxing to feel safe. Diverse restaurants offer excellent cuisine at reasonable prices. Enjoy adventures in nature and marine reserves reserves all around or just enjoy lazing and relaxing, perhaps enjoying an excellent spa massage. Spectacular sunsets and sea views create a romantic atmosphere. We are in the 'heart' of the Cape - centrally situated so you can enjoy tourist attractions from Cape of Good Hope to the Winelands and whales in Hermanus. Cape winds sometimes blow in summer but we are protected from the cold Atlantic winter wind making us several degrees warmer than central Cape Town, especially as Gordon's Bay faces sunny north - perfect in South Africa! Public transport is generally not good in South Africa. Local taxis and Uber do operate in the area BUT I STRONGLY recommend that visitors hire a car. Highways and directions are clear and it is SUCH a pity to miss some of the magnificent sites in the area. I can assist with contacts and airport transfers. We have off road parking.
