Formally an artist studio, it has undergone an elegant and complete renovation, with a premium tile and glass doored shower, new plaster walls and appliances. It is located on 53 pristine acres fronting directly on the Hudson River. A perfectly located Hudson Valley escape, the studio is located near the village of Germantown, 2 hours from NYC. The studio is entered from its own private deck. The studio is located off of a large private house that does have other residents. The studio is freshly renovated, bright and airy, and has a loft-like feel. The private deck and large windows looks out on open fields and mature trees. Guests has exclusive access to the Studio, which includes its own kitchen and bathroom, and a private deck, as well as access to open fields and wooded areas that surround the house, and are suitable for hiking or lounging. * There are other residents in who live in the house, but not the studio space. Please respect their privacy and the areas outside the house. Parking for one car is included. We want you to enjoy your time and have complete privacy. Although your hosts do not live on the property, we are always available if you need anything. This newly renovated space is located outside the hamlet of Germantown, five minutes from Main Street - with all you need - James Beard nominated Gaskins restaurant, Otto's Market for groceries, and a handful of independently owned shops. The village of Tivoli, Bard College's Frank Gehry designed Fisher center, and the parks at Claremont and Olana are less than 10 minutes away. You will need your own car to enjoy a stay at the studio. Parking is provided. - The Studio is located in a house with 3 other apartments. The entry to those apartments are on the other side of the house from the Studio. Everyone here loves the magical views, and the peace and quiet. - DOGS: We love dogs and are dog owners but unfortunately, we have had to put some rules in place. * You must give us advance notice if you plan to bring a dog during your stay. * Bringing a dog will incur an additional $75 pet fee. * Dogs may not sleep on the bed or on the furniture. * Dogs may not be left alone in the Studio, tied outside, or left in a guest’s vehicle. * A towel will be left by the door and we ask that dirty paws be cleaned before entry to the space. - Our property is located in a country setting and we ask guests to be mindful of exposure to local wildlife including mosquitos and ticks.
