Family Friends renovated farm Central France VIEW!
This ancient farm in the center of France, was fully renovated in 2012, with a unique view over the superb "Impressionist valley" of the Creuse. This natural site surrounds the house, next to which pilgrims walk to Compostelle. Designed for family & friend gatherings, with modern comfort including Wifi, it's the perfect startpoint for walks or bike rides. A small path leads to the river to enjoy quiet swim. Petanque, barbecue, hamac, trampoline, modern kitchen, it's also the "aperitif" heaven ;) This house is designed for both an outdoor and indoor comfortable experience. A long oak deck to the South has a sunny and magnificent view over the valley. On the Northern side, a peaceful garden and trampoline. All bedrooms are upstairs, kitchen living, dining and second living room on the ground floor. On the ground floor too, a separate toilet. The house is fully equipped with modern comfort (wifi, dishwasher, stereo, induction cooktop, microwave, oven, Kitchen aid blender, and everything to seriously cook. Two large living rooms allow to have privacy and read, listen to music or play in small groups (competition table soccer is possible ;). On the first floor, master bedroom with kingsize bed and kid bedroom with one double and one single bed share a bathroom with tub and a washing machine (a combo that also drys). Next to the bathroom a separate toilet. On the other side of the house on the first floor, 2 bedroom (one with double bed, one with queen size bed) share a bathroom with tub and heated towel rack. A third bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower. These 3 bedrooms share a separate toilet. The house is in the middle of nature, along the walk to Saint Jacques de Compostelle. On the Southern side, the oak deck overlooks the Creuse Valley, known as the "Impressionists valley", as many painters captured this unique light, birds, and natural site. The Northern side is ideal to enjoy summer meals, with its cute garden with hamac and trampoline. All fields and garden around the house are private. 1 mn walk up the road is the hamlet of Chatillon. Driving 3mn to the left, the village of Badecon le Pin offers an amazing butcher, a baker and a convenience store. 10mn drive is Argenton sur Creuse, with a "Carrefour" supermarket, and a typical market on saturday mornings offering delicious local products and specialties. Driving 5mn to the right is the village of Gargilesse, always ranked among the nicest French villages with its artist workshops, castle, church, and unique crypt with a 11th and 13th century fresco. Yummy goat cheese producer too ;) Many walks or bike rides around the house, providing spectacular landscaped on the valley, waterfalls, or river fishing spots. 20mn drive away is Eguzon, that offers a lake where waterskiing world championship is often held. Fun activities are available for kids at very affordable price. The house is 18mn drive away from the A20 highway (sortie 16). Argenton sur Creuse is 15mn drive away and offers direct train to or from Paris (Austerlitz station: 2h10 trip). The location is so central, it allows to have a very diverse touristy experience if you with to get the most of a nice stay in France. Loire valley is an easy half day or day trip (1h40 drive to Chenonceaux castle) Dordogne is an easy half day or day trip too (2h10 to Lascaux prehistoric caves). Paris is a 2h45 drive away.
