A very comfortable family home with high quality furnishings, a large garden and loads of character. This is a much-loved family home and a very special place to stay. Full of character with mellow oak floors, massive beams warmed by central heating and an Aga in the kitchen with the option of wood-burning stoves on cooler days our farmhouse offers plenty of space to spread out and relax. Downstairs there is a large kitchen/breakfast living room, a useful cloakroom and utility room, separate dining room and another sitting room as well as a cosy 'snug' with loads of books and games to enjoy. Please note that the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms upstairs may not be suitable for small children or guests with impaired mobility due to the half-spiral stone stairs. We live on the farm and are happy to help with any questions or advice if requested. However we will also leave you to enjoy your holiday in privacy. The sunsets are amazing and with no light pollution you will be mesmerised by the night skies. The lovely sandy cove at Crackington Haven is just over a mile away with a couple of nice cafes and a good pub, you don't need to go far. A little further you will find sandy beaches at Bossiney and Trebarwith and many surfing beaches including Widemouth Bay, Bude and the well-known Polzeath. Fishing villages of Boscastle, Port Isaac and Padstow are within easy reach boasting many independent shops, galleries and tempting eateries to discover and enjoy. Nearby Bodmin Moor offers a wildly beautiful contrasting landscape and cultural gems of Tintagel Castle, Lanhydrock House are just two of numerous sights waiting to be explored. We keep a herd of quiet South Devon cattle and take great pride in managing the farm in harmony with nature in an extensive manner. Whilst there are many fantastic opportunities for walking and long hikes from Lower Tresmorn a car is essential to enjoy the location fully. There is a limited bus service stopping at Crackington Haven which is useful to link walks along the coast between Bude and Boscastle. This is a working farm and we keep a beautiful , quiet suckler herd of South Devon cattle and their calves on the cliff pastures. Guests with allergies should note that we have a friendly farm dog and cat which are strictly not allowed in the farmhouse but if windows/doors are left open we cannot guarantee that they will not enter!
