Admire the river from the deck with a glass of wine, forage for oysters and relax The entire cottage, lush gardens, orchard, veggie gardens, fire pit and deck are yours to explore and enjoy. You may like to throw a rug on the grass for a picnic in the orchard. Take your morning cuppa, a glass of Tasmanian Sparkling or Pinot Noir to the deck, sit back and let the river work it’s magic on you. Go fishing or forage for oysters and fire up the bbq. Collect delicious eggs for your breakfast from our very friendly free range chooks. They are always ready for a chat. Bring your binoculars and do some bird watching or keep your eyes peeled for dolphins. Of course, if you would prefer someone else to do the cooking, you are just a few kms from Fat Pig Farm, Port Cygnet Cannery and the village of Cygnet with its many cafes, farmers market and road side stalls. We have provided a lovely wicker picnic basket for you containing everything you will need including wine glasses, plates and cutlery. All you need to do it collect delicious Tasmanian produce. We can provide you with all are favourite places to shop. This is the countryside and there is wildlife. You are likely to see wallabies, possums, quolls, Tassie devils, rabbits and a huge variety of birds. They all love to call Cloud River Farm home too. Cloud River Farm is the perfect base for exploring incredible waterfalls, walking tracks, boat trips, kayaking, cellar doors, cider makers and a picturesque drive to the ferry for Bruny Island. The options are endless but you may choose to just stay here and enjoy the property. At an extra cost, if you would like us to stock the fridge for you or have a platter of local cheeses and Tasmanian goodies and wine ready for your arrival, please don’t hesitate to ask.
