Coral Point is based in Sibaya, a brand new precinct located above Umdloti and one of the most sought after coastal suburbs in the province. Coral Point offers the ultimate live, work and play lifestyle with expansive views of the sea and coastal forest. It includes a gym, pool, clubhouse, 24/7 security and access to the 7km boardwalk (coming soon). Our designer furnished apartment includes is fully equipped with DSTV and Netflix, uncapped wifi, and so much more. The number of Guests shall be in accordance with those stated on the booking details. Additional Guests/visitors not permitted and will result in fines being issued to the guest. The complex has a right to refuse access for people who are not members of the booking. We will facilitate your check-in and checkout. We often have same day check-ins and checkouts. Our check-in time is after 3pm and our checkout time is before 10am. We will explain to you the in’s and out's of both the apartment as well as the building. Meet the friendly security guards at reception and see how to use the pool, gym and laundry. Throughout your stay we are always just an Airbnb message/ phone call away. Situated in the lush coastal forests of the Sibaya Coastal Precinct Coral Point is a 152 apartment development designed in response to the site’s uninterrupted sea views. The cluster of buildings together define a whole, between them creating a terraced central park as an extension to the existing coastal forest. Natural timber, polished concrete and lush indigenous planting flow through the spacious terraces as a juxtaposition to the surrounding landscape. The architecture on the East Wing elevations is streamlined, simple and uncluttered, allowing continuous connection to the coastline views. The apartment has a parking bay allowing you the opportunity to rent a car and have secure parking. There are lots of ubers in the area and a 5 minute waiting time. PLEASE NOTE: We are not a serviced apartment. We offer a complimentary clean once a week if your stay is for more than 7 days. Cleaning equipment and appliances such as broom, mop and washing machine are provided. The apartment is self-catering; but to help get you started we provide you with a small quantity of tea, coffee and sugar; as well as some hand soap and shower gel, sunlight liquid and a lined kitchen bin. An unused roll toilet paper per bathroom. We will replenish these once a week if your stay is for longer than 7 days. Load shedding occurs in different areas at different times. You may have electricity, but we may not. This could negatively impact on our response time. The apartment building you are staying at does not provide a generator. We do not provide candles for safety and fire hazard reasons. We recommend you ensure your mobile/cell phone is charged as much as possible. You may need to use your cell phone torch to see. We sincerely hope load shedding does not last long and we apologise on behalf of South Africa to you for the inconvenience caused. Prepaid Electricity: Please ensure you watch your meter level and warn us before you drop to 0. We will top up on your behalf (up to R1000 per month) and send you the token to reload. Should you not watch the level, and your electricity runs out – please again let us know and we will purchase and send you a token. South Africa is a developing economy – we at time (thankfully not often) experience water outages and restrictions, electricity outages and problems with the fibre line. All faults are logged, and we rely on municipality to rectify the damage. We hope no outage lasts long and will try our best to keep you updated with repair progress. Unfortunately, any outages are out of our control. Please ensure you have read the rules. No Visitors allowed. No noise, no parties, no gatherings. Only guests booked are strictly allowed entry into the complex. We have the apartment professionally cleaned between each guest stay. This involves sanitising all services, mopping, sanitising floors, cleaning bathrooms, change of linen and cleaning of the kitchen. However, we are not able to do a deep clean every check out. We can assure you the apartment is clean, safe, and sanitised. But stains on couches/curtains/linen may be faint and visible – we do deep clean and valet of all upholstery items quarterly. Some hard-to-reach places like lights may gather very small dust particles. Small eye lash hair pieces may blow in, despite the broom and mopping of the floors. It is out of the professional cleaner’s control to ensure the apartment looks brand new/unused and like a sealed bubble. This does not mean the apartment is not cleaned. The apartment furniture has been used as the apartment is not brand new and I do not replace the furniture every time a new guest stays. The professional cleaning company use vanish and JIK to remove some harder stains – it can leave a faint orange ring mark. Please note this is a humid and hot city. We close all windows after cleaning before your arrival. The apartment may have a slightly musty smell due to this. Please open windows and allow for fresh air on arrival. South Africa is a hot humid country. Insects can be found in South Africa. Most live on land, some in water and some fly. They are harmless. Unfortunately, due to the heat we are not able to stop all insects. We fumigate the apartment quarterly and can provide you with a can of doom. Insects in the apartment is not a sign of uncleanliness. We do not live at the apartment. We are available between 8am – 10pm for video call or voice call to help explain how to use/operate anything you may have difficulty using. We will also try get security (if possible) to assist if you are still struggling. Should you require someone to come out and still assist – there can be a 1 hour wait and a call out fee applicable if there is no issue and only a lack of understanding on how to use something. We are confident you will know how to operate everything in the apartment as everything is simple and standard. We are unable to come out and assist after 6pm. Your apartment may have a gas stove. Please alert us if you are using the stove regularly by checking the gas tank and feeling how heavy/full it feels. We do also do this after every check out but unable to monitor your usage and therefore if you are using it, please ensure you check the level. We check to ensure all remotes in the apartment are working before check in. However, it may go flat during your stay, or after we have checked. If this is the case, we will deliver more batteries – please let us know. Please remember we do not live there and will attend to it as soon as possible. All appliances are checked before your check in and confirmed working. However, things break outside of our control and with no reason or timing understanding. Should an appliance not be working during your stay – let us know and we will have the repair done as soon as reasonably possible. We will assist you in all ways possible if this does happen. It really does not happen often but it may happen. We only provide one key for guests; we do not have spare keys for guests. Please make use of lockboxes and/or security should you need to share keys. If you lose your keys or lock yourself out – there is a call out fee for us to come and open. If it is after hours and we are offline, we will assist first thing the next morning. We check to ensure TV is operating and signed in before your check in. Sometimes things change and it signs out. If this is the case let us know and we will get you back in as soon as possible. Please ensure you make use of the correct parking bay. If you park in a bay that does not belong to the apartment you are staying in, the complex has the right to clamp your vehicle and only release when fine has been settled. Please note that the pictures on the listing are taken by a professional photo and done when the apartment was listed. Please refer to listing date for the age of the listing and images. We do not allow for reservation changes to be made if your check in falls within the next 10 days. We only allow for one change to be made if your booking date is more than 10 days away. If your booking date is within the 10-day period, then no change will be accepted. We can however allow you to add on dates to your original booking dates if we are available. All cancellations will be subject to the cancellation policy. We do not select BBQ / braai as an amenity. Should you find one on the balcony of your apartment this a lucky extra that is there. However, we do not actually provide it for you to use. Therefore should you want to still make use of it please bear in mind: we do not clean it (please clean it before you use it and clean it after you use it), we do not check the gas levels, we do not know how to operate it, we are not responsible if you burn yourself using it, we do not provide you with the BBQ/Braai utensils to use it.
