Hawthorne Cottage

One of the most beautiful properties in Blackheath! Gorgeous weatherboard historic mountain cottage with divine garden in the village of Blackheath in the Blue Mountains. World heritage bushwalks, mountain mists, native birds and kangaroos are on the doorstep. We also have a larger and more modern house next door called Frog and Fog, which has its own lovely garden but shares the lower back garden with Hawthorne Cottage. The 2 houses are great for bigger family gatherings or get-togethers. Hawthorne Cottage in Blackheath offers self-catering short-term rental accommodation in a quiet location just a short drive from Blackheath shops, pub, restaurants and the exquisite bushwalks through the national park. Hawthorne Cottage is easygoing, warm and charming, set on expansive grounds with exquisite gardens in a quiet street. The cottage has three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second room a double and the third has a single and a set of king single bunks. The old chapel living area has a double sofa bed for extra guests. With open plan kitchen, living and dining area there is plenty of room to relax. Guests have exclusive access to entire home and grounds. Landlords will be able to offer help and advice via phone or in person if needed. Otherwise guests have complete privacy. The Blue Mountains is a unique world heritage area and Blackheath is arguably the most village- like and unspoilt town in the mountains. The house is about 2 km from the station and shops. It is a lovely walk (approx. 20 - 30 mins) if you'd like to explore the area. Otherwise an easy drive or cycle (3 mins drive/ 15 min cycle). You can reach Blackheath by train or bus however given the location of the house and the nature of available activities, a car would be most convenient. We do allow pets but an additional cleaning fee is charged, equivalent to an extra person staying per night. If you have a pet with you please make sure your pet stays off the furniture including couches and beds.
