Self Catering Holidays As natives of the place we are renting our private summer house to tourists for more than 20 years now. It is a one level house with one studio-apartment and two additional rooms to rent. The studio itself accommodates up to 5 persons, it has its private bathroom and kitchen, two balconies and sea view. Rooms are 3-bed and 4 -bed based, including seaview , each with private bathroom but shared summer kitchen. All rooms are air conditioned and feature Wi Fi Internet connection. The house has a large green garden with facilities to eat outdoors and enjoy the nature. There is also available a parking space and direct access to the beach straight from the yard. This is family-run place, very cosy and welcoming. It is placed in a quite and peaceful area, far from the city noise but still very popular for tourists. It is located 15 minutes by car or 30 min by local bus from downtown Herceg-Novi. Nature and surroundings are a mix of mountains and sea, as settled in the only fjord-like bay in this part of the Europe (Bay of Boka Kotorska). Beautiful nature with many historical sites to visit nearby and still unspoiled by the massive overcommercial tourism. The house has one studio and two rooms. They all have the same entrance but each, studio and each of the two rooms, has its own doors and locks. Every room has a private bathroom that is not shared with anybody else. The kitchen within the studio is also private and not shared. But, the kitchen when rented 3-bed or 4-bed room is shared between these two rooms. That means that you will have your own fridge, plates, utensils, cups and glasses but you will have to share the rest of the kitchen with one more family, couple or person, depending on who is staying next to you. There are 2 dinning tables available, each with 4 chairs, so it will not get crowded and the area is pretty wide and the beauty is that it is on veranda, in the open air. We do not live in the same house but we are right next door and we will be available for any questions you may have in regards your stay or getting around. If we are away some days during your stay, you will have our contact details and you can feel free to reach to us at any time. Our neighbourhood is quiet with family houses and green gardens. It is not a party area though it is well connected with it. There are few grocery stores and supermarkets nearby(walking distance). The beach is right across the street, visible from the room windows. We have available some sun shades for our guests' use, free of charge. The area is quiet and suitable for families and for quiet vacations but very well located for exploring nearby cities or even mountains. There is a local bus stop 5 minutes away by foot. Local bus rides between Igalo and Kamenari all along the coastline of municipality of Herceg-Novi every 20 or 30 minutes depending on the time of the year. This bus can take you to the main bus station in Herceg-Novi from where you can grab buses to other towns in Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are boat excursions available also at 5 minutes walking distance. Those excursions can take you around Boka Bay or to different beaches around the bay. After 6PM in summer period there is a touristic train connecting Bijela to Kumbor and taking you with ease from place to place along promenade, to the bars, restaurants, kids' fairs etc. When entering Montenegro every tourist is required to register with the local police within 24 h and pay the residence tax. This residence tax for adults is 0.90 cents per day, children under 12 years do not pay tax, children from 12-18 years, half of the fee, which is 0.45 cents. Additionally, there is a cost of application itself which is 1.00 euro for a total period of stay. So, 1 euro plus every day of stay. This is subject to change and it is not up to us but up to the government of Montenegro. We process this payment for our guests and they are provided with the receipt and a little registration paper that they need to show at border cross if asked to by authorities.
