Restful, rejuvenating & reinvigorating farm stay
The Pausilypon Houpe Cottage, this recently completed baltic pine (the aroma! Ummm!), is east facing with beautiful valley views situated on a private 40 acre property in the stunning Jiggi Valley. This cottage is self contained and features a large sunny deck to take in the restive rural outlook. 20 minutes equidistant to Lismore, Nimbin and Kyogle and just under an hours drive to the beaches of Byron Bay, Lennox. Brunswick and Suffolk Park. This is the perfect romantic country getaway. This beautiful space is off the grid, and power is from solar and generator. There is internet and phone coverage though. You will be connected to nature and truly have a wonderful experience staying here. Full use of the cabin and the communal area which includes, laundry gym and games area. I remain open and available if and as required. I understand and value the privacy of the guests. PLEASE NOTE: Additional long stay costs: For guests who wish to take advantage of the longer stay discounts. Please note that for guests staying longer than two weeks, there will be additional (but modest) fortnightly cleaning fees of $54 for replacement of linen and general hygienic monitoring. This property is at the end of the Jiggi valley. It is very private and one of only two to access an exit of Warby Rd. (Your cabin is to the right of the fork!) A slight elevation to sea level usually provides an excellent breeze and a lovely restful, rural outlook. The sound of birds abound at all hours of the day. Early morning is especially vibrant with the night creatures committed to a rousing ‘hand over’ to the active day dwellers. Iconic Aussie creatures abound and whilst you may not see a Koala, you will most likely hear them. At years end the Fire-Flies appear and make the property appear like a fairy land. ...Just Beautiful! They appear on dusk and have retired by true dark; their dance does not last long. This truly is a beautiful spot and conveniently located to be under an hour to most Northern Rivers destinations from beaches to water falls. This is a lovely property to relax and regroup. As we are rural, a car or road worthy vehicle, is required to travel to and from. I have a resident rooster who takes his job as protector quite seriously. He can be cantankerous and confrontational at times-especially when there are chickens for him to protect. You may need to stand your ground and remind him that not only are you larger than him, but that you are also an invited guest! Also, Lilly-the border collie-may try and temp you to play.
