Tamar House, Rosevears

Tamar House, self-catering accommodation, is set in a quiet rural location, on the Tamar Valley Wine Route; and on the Tamar River. 15 minutes from Launceston ; set in 1 hectare of gardens, overlooking the Tamar River. Tamar House offers guests serenity and beauty. Stroll in the gardens , sit and relax with a good book, or enjoy local food & wine with friends. Tamar House is a great choice for small groups of up to 8 adults. The self-catering accommodation at Tamar House is located in a newly renovated guest house that stands alongside the owners private residence. Guests will have use of a modern, open-plan kitchen, living area and dining room. An expansive deck flows off the living area. Bedrooms are spacious and can be configured with 1 King or 2 Single Beds. Guests have access to the main living, kitchen and dining area plus outside deck, gardens and laundry. The number of bedrooms opened up to guests will depend on the needs of the group. Bedrooms not in use will remain closed. Your hosts, Richard and Denise, live on the property and can be contacted 24 hours a day by telephone. Rosevears is a quiet, tranquil hamlet on the banks of the Tamar River Estuary in Northern Tasmania. Guests to Tamar House will need to have the use of a private car. Being located in a rural location, public transport is spasmodic. Drivers need to be aware that native fauna and flora tend to become more active at dawn and dusk and care is needed when driving at these times. A stroll along the Tamar River will afford visitors breathtaking scenery and photo opportunities. Tamar Ridge, Elmslie and Velo Cellar Doors are within a few minutes drive of Tamar House. Guests are welcome to walk around the gardens and on to the jetty but care needs to be taken as some areas are steep and uneven. In winter, pathways can become slippery.
