"Charming guest house" Old Silk Store -Mouresi

My house is a "new classical" building built in the traditional style of that period. It has individual twin rooms for rent on the first floor. This room has a private shower/w.c The house is cosy and charming. If you are looking for glitz and glamour this is not for you. The main features of the house have been preserved in keeping with the building. Shady courtyards and plenty of vegetation in the wild garden. Location is near the village centre / lovely square. Breakfast is extra. The courtyards are shared with other guests. There is a simple outdoor kitchen only adequate enough to make salads and uncooked food. Breakfast is not included in the price but can be requested. There is partial off road parking at the Old Silk Store for my guests. There is parking at Agios Ioannis. When the car parks are full there is a ring road where there is a couple of klms of parking. Generally it is not difficult to find a parking space in the other villages unless there is a village fesitval. Mouresi is a mountain village at the height of 350 metres above sea-level. It has breath-taking views of the Aegean below and the landscape is verdant and covered in chestnut, apple, cherry and olive trees. In a few minutes one can be at sea-level. The Greek people name these villages on the mountain as the "villages of the flowers." It is cooler in Mouresi in the summer than at the sea. There is a lovely village square with a sea-view and taverna and there are another 3 tavernas and two coffee shops in the village. To get the most out of your visit car hire is recommended. Popular for enthusiastic walkers who might not need a car. Limited bus service. Around the area plenty of room for parking. Please note that breakfast is not included in the cost shown on Airbnb. There is a bakery opposite the house which offer tasty Greek pies and cakes. There is a coffee shop at the junction/come post office where one can buy different types of coffee. Pharmacy in Tsgarada and Agios Ioannis. Cash machines in Agios Ioannis and Tsgarada.
