Cozy cottage with charm

Anchor Cottage is situated in the little village of Millbrook on the Rame Peninsular. It is about 1 mile from Kingsand/Cawsand and Mount Edgcumbe and a great place to stay if attending weddings at Polhawn Fort being 3 miles away. Local amenities are within walking distance including a well stocked minimart co-op, newsagents, organic grocers, chemist, takeaway restaurants and pubs. The cottage is fully furnished with free on road parking nearby. Anchor Cottage is offered to you with everything you require to make your stay memorable with the minimum of fuss. It is fully equipped so you can just get on with enjoying your holiday. The television in the lounge does have Netflix however due to the WiFi connection not being fibre, it will cause buffering on occasions. Because of this we don’t advertise this as an extra. Please be aware that we cannot accept pets. We have to acknowledge that some guests have allergies against pet hair and although the property is throughly cleaned, we would no be able to guarantee that every hair would be removed if we accommodated them, so please be aware of this. With the bonus of experiencing a Cornish cream tea included in the fridge on your arrival, you can decide in total privacy whether it’s cream or jam on top!! All measures have been taken to ensure that the cottage complies with the WHO for Covid-19 and also in accordance to all the measures stipulated by Airbnb for cleaning. Antibacterial hand wash gel and sanitising gel have also been provided for your use. The property comes to you as a complete private property so the space is yours to savour. There is no private parking however there is free on road parking just outside the house and also up New Street. There is also a free car park slightly further up the main road where the chemist is. There is also parking bays that provide free parking in the evenings and on Sunday’s along the main road of Millbrook. I am only a phone call or text away. I do live close by but feel that your precious chill out time should be completely yours so little involvement from me (unless you need it) is preferred. However please do not hesitate to call if you need assistance. Anchor Cottage is actually within walking distance to Kingsand/Cawsand and their beaches, with breathtaking views over the Plymouth Sound but could be challenging. Please just check first. The Eden Project is an hour away and well worth a days visit. There is something for everyone and leaflets for most activities are available at the property and most local shops but please just check dates as certain times throughout the year, some attractions could be closed. You would need a car to get to most of the popular attractions, locations and beaches in Cornwall, however there are some beautiful places to walk from the cottage, if you are the adventurous kind. Mount Edgcumbe and Kingsand/Cawsand for example. Anchor Cottage is a popular place to stay for visitors who are attending weddings at Polhawn Fort as it is only 3 miles away which is about a 10 minute drive. There is also a private taxi firm just outside the property who can drop you off and pick you up to the venue if you decide to let your hair down. Just book in advance. Business cards are at the property. Anchor Cottage is also ideal for visitors attending any events at HMS Raleigh and is a short river ferry crossing to Plymouth. Due to the recent increase in booking charges by Airbnb, I have decided to take off the charge for the cleaning of the property, so effectively transferring some of the costs on to me.
