Please note that we live in the main house on the property, The Stable is a separate and fully self contained cottage on the same property. Guests have the entire use of the cottage and a small patio overlooking the garden accessed through the french doors off the bedroom. Guests also have full access to the large lush garden and back yard. There is a laundry if the need arises. We live in the main house on the property and are available when we are home or if you need us. You can also contact us on our mobiles at any time. Kalorama is nestled within the National Park. Only a short walk to the lookout and local picnic ground and within the distance, the delightful view of the Silvan Reservoir, an ideal place for a picnic lunch or a barbecue. My place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. Explore and experience the Dandenong Ranges; the villages of Kallista, Sherbrooke, Ferny Creek, Olinda, Sassafras, Mt Dandenong and Kalorama. Please don't use Old Coach Road near the start of the mountain (ignore your GPS at this stage !) and stay on Mt Dandenong Tourist Road until you get to Kalorama Five Ways near Kalorama Lookout. Your Sat Nav will try and take you onto Old Coach Road which is a very narrow, one way dirt road. Please note you will end up on Old Coach Road but only briefly before turning into our Road. When you arrive at the Stable, please park on the right hand side of the driveway where the "Visitors Parking" sign is. Once parked, walk through the carport and to the left where you will find another sign "the Stable, Kalorama" to the left of the main house. Follow the path around the main house and up the stone steps where you will see the Stable ahead and just to your left. The path is made of a few stone steps and gravel so please take care, it is not suitable for wheelchairs but luggage cases with wheels should be fine. Please Note: Mobile phone reception is good but can be patchy therefore cannot be guaranteed, as is the case for the whole of the Dandenong Ranges. Telstra mobiles generally have better reception.
