Modernity and refinement come together one step away from the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele to create a boutique hotel with a unique and inimitable charm. The room Altido Galleria seems to be enclosed within an intrinsically modern world, based on the fascinating contrast between the preciousness of details and the essentiality of the environments. The furniture with a minimal taste permeate every corner of the room, emphasizing its deeply contemporary soul. The access to the room, regulated by a latest generation web app, conceals an entrance characterized by essential lines, complete with full-height wardrobes. The bathroom, a concrete search of an original design, but at the same time sober and elegant, finds in the large shower the cornerstone of all its conception. The double room is equipped with a wooden desk used as a work area, a 42" hotel TV and a minibar with free snacks and drinks. Please note that there is breakfast available, upon request. The breakfast is not included in the price and it will cost 15 euros which you will have to pay in cash at the desk reception. House rules: ALTIDO Italy wants you to have a fantastic stay, so encourage you to see the space as a home away from home - treating it as though it is yours! There are, of course, a few things we politely ask guests to note before their arrival and throughout their stay: - Strictly no smoking, no parties, no pets - Dispose of rubbish appropriately - Keep the property clean and tidy - Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected - Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Please keep the noise down and respect other neighbours in the building - Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving the space - To ensure the safety of our current and future guests, we ask all guests to complete our online check-in form and to provide a valid form of identification. **Please note that due to local government law, guests are obligated to pay a city tax. This city tax varies between cities, and it is not included in the accommodation fare and cleaning fee. Please let us know if you have any questions. The neighbourhood The hotel is right in the heart of Milan: walk out of the door and you are at the Duomo. In the area you can enjoy delightful views of the historical city’s gems while being surrounded by the most prestigious Milan boutiques and restaurants. The Duomo square, La Scala Theater and all the major see sights are just a short walk away as well as the Montenapoleone fashion district, the art district of Brera and the most famous Milan’s shops and museums. A wide range of restaurants, bars and cafes will satisfy every foodie. Restaurants Giacomo Arengario - Scale the Guggenheim-inspired spiral ramp at the Museo del Novecento to find the best view in the whole city overlooking the Piazza del Duomo. Celebrity Chef Carlo Cracco has a Michelin star restaurant just a few steps away from the hotel. Better book in advance. If you'd like to have just a quick salty snack, you should definitely try the famous Luini. There they make amazing panzerotti: pillowy fried dough parcels stuffed with tomato and mozzarella. The Milanese have been queuing in front of the Luini's windows since it first opened in 1888, and now there are still lines at the hole-in-the wall shops, especially at lunchtime. Panzerotti is street food at its best: cheap, cheerful, quick and tasty. Bars You may want to stop by the Camparino bar, the home of Campari since 1915, which is just a 2-minute walk from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Grocery & Shopping Drop into the world-famous Peck grocery store, a haven for those who love discovering traditional local taste. A three-storey shop just a few steps from the Duomo of Milano. Getting around Since you are in the centre of Milan, you can choose any type of public transport. The nearest subway stop is Duomo (the red and yellow lines) which is just a 2-minute walk away from the hotel. Airports Malpensa To get to the hotel from Malpensa airport, you can take the Malpensa Express train to Milano Cadorna (30 minutes), and then travel 3 stations to the Duomo by metro. Bergamo Take the bus to the Central Station and then travel to the Duomo station by metro. Linate The nearest airport, Linate, is about 7 km away and is served by shuttle. The best way to get to the hotel from Linate is by taxi, the trip takes about 20 minutes. You can also take bus 73 and travel to the San Babila stop in the city center, from there you can walk to the hotel for 7 minutes.
