Welcome to the Blue Yonder Lodge and Studio! Here you can catch stunning lake views from the large covered front deck. Modern white décor combined with the warmth of timber flooring gives this home a true Scandi feel. Entertaining will be a delight in any season. The kitchen opens to the dining area and heated front deck. Free Wi-Fi, sauna, wood-fired pizza-oven, large BBQ, tennis and air-hockey tables, Xbox and Netflix included. This is the perfect place to unwind with family and friends. The Blue Yonder Lodge and Studio sleeps up to 13* people. It is ideal for 8-10 adults and 2-4 children and a baby*. The Blue Yonder Lodge is located in a quiet neighbourhood where you can escape your busy life and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of Wyee Point. The property is ideal for large groups, with room to space-out between two fully equipped buildings whilst sharing multiple outdoor areas. In the Lodge, there are 3 bedrooms with built-ins, ceiling fans, ducted air conditioning/heating; 2 king-size bedrooms have water views. There is a separate area for an office with free NBN internet and a fully equipped laundry for those longer stays. The main house can sleep up to 8 people. Four adults in 2 king-sized bedrooms, plus up to 4 people can share the third bedroom with a children's triple bunk bed; it has two singles, one double and a trundle. We can also provide babies with everything they need; a new travel cot with bedding, towels, highchair, baby bath and a change mat so you can travel light. At the rear of the property there is a spacious Studio with a large kitchenette, full bathroom, and a TV lounge with two single beds (these beds can be made into another 'king' bed on request) and a double sofa-bed, a perfect hangout for teenagers, or a small family. There is plenty of space to entertain and relax outdoors between the large entertaining deck with lake views - equipped with a large concrete dining table and a comfortable coffee lounge set, a small infrared sauna, so you can relax, warm up and detox, and infrared heaters for those cooler evenings - as well as a covered BBQ area behind the house, where you can enjoy making authentic wood-fired pizza or just sit and enjoy the sunshine in the open courtyard. Or why not watch a movie on the 75 inch smart TV with an impressive sound-bar. We also have ping-pong and air-hockey tables, Xbox One with Game Pass, toys and board-games for children of all ages. This property is ideally located next to the lake, near a children's park, fishing spots and walking tracks. It is a quiet cul-de-sac where you can catch the cool lake breezes and watch stunning sunsets. There is plenty of wildlife around, you are almost guaranteed to meet a kangaroo or two. The boat ramp is around the corner so why not go fishing or kayaking or bring your boat along and enjoy what Lake Macquarie has to offer. If you prefer a dip in the ocean, you have a choice of many sandy beaches just a short drive away. You will have the place just for yourselves! Just 90 minutes north of Sydney, you’ll feel yourself easing into holiday mode. You’ll love every day in Lake Macquarie. The largest saltwater lake in the southern hemisphere and more than twice the size of Sydney Harbour, Lake Macquarie is an aquatic playground. Bring your kayak, boat, or paddleboard. If you wish to go fishing the closest place is a short walk from the Lodge, at Wyee Point Reserve. You can access the lake frontage from the Boat Ramp via a lovely bush track at the end of Government Road. You can also go hiking along the water's edge, have a picnic or take a dip in the lake. If you wish to go for more bushwalks, you can check out the Watagans National Park. There are horse-riding opportunities just 10 minutes away as well as art classes at Yara Balba Stables. Alternatively, you can visit the new Art House at Wyong, the Central Coast's most exciting performing arts centre or visit the Hunter Valley vineyards an hour drive away. There are the Anna Bay sand-dunes for those looking for an epic day adventure on the largest moving sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere. The Newcastle Treetops Adventure park offers young and old an obstacle course with rope ladders, wobbly bridges, tunnels, cargo nets, and zip lines just 40 minutes away! By Road Arriving at Wyee Point, Lake Macquarie is easy. If you are approaching Lake Macquarie from the south, the M1 freeway from Sydney will have you arriving in 90 minutes. Please lookout for the kangaroos near the property, they are around and about especially at dusk and dawn. They will even visit you on the front lawn! By Air Direct flights are available to Newcastle Airport on a daily basis from Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and the North Coast of NSW. It is a 1-hour drive to Wyee Point from the Newcastle Airport and a 3-hour drive from Sydney Airport. By Rail Trains depart regularly from Newcastle, Sydney & the Central Coast. The closest train stations are Wyee and Morriset. You will need a car to get around. On the back patio, you will find an authentic woodfired pizza oven. We've included enough wood, kindling and fire starters for one fire, additional wood available for an additional fee. The use of the pizza-oven is restricted by NSW fire restrictions and guidelines. We also offer a BBQ and a sauna that can be used anytime. Our front deck has 2 infrared heaters to keep you warm in winter. There is also an indoor air-hockey table and a ping-pong table outside for you to utilize. There are many onshore fishing points just a short walk from the Lodge at Wyee Point Reserve.
