The house is just 300m from the main Manchester Road through central Chorlton; with its popular independent traders, bars, coffee shops, cafés, restaurants; there's plenty to amuse you locally, and the bright lights of Manchester city-centre are within easy reach by taxi, the frequent Metrolink trams, or bus. It's an ideal base from which to enjoy the locale, venture into the nearby cities of Manchester, Salford, or Stockport, watch cricket or football at Old Trafford or Ethihad, or even take day-trips to The Lake District, North Wales, Liverpool, Leeds and so on. You will have exclusive use of: off-road parking for a small car (roadside parking is unrestricted and free), entrance hallway, comfortable lounge, and the kitchen dining room are on the ground floor, along with utility room and wc. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a smaller single bedroom, there is a separate (shower) bathroom. While there is a full kitchen with cooking facilities, and some basic breakfast provisions provided; locally there are various restaurants and take-aways within walking distance, as well as numerous food-delivery options should you choose to eat in rather than out. Chorlton-cum-Hardy is a popular and diverse suburb of south Manchester, known for its variety of small independent traders, bars, and eateries. It’s a quiet residential road but is just two - ten minutes walk from any and all of the bars and restaurants Chorlton has to offer. (Happy to advise you – there’s so many to choose from; and I keep a menus folder in the house for convenience) Trafford (and Old Trafford / Manchester United / Cricket) lies to the west, Whalley Range to the north, Withington and West Didsbury to the east. To the south, Chorlton backs onto the Mersey Valley greenbelt, with water parks, the river, woodlands, with the M60 orbital and the international airport beyond. If you're arriving by car we have off-road parking for one modestly sized vehicle at the front of the property, otherwise roadside parking is usually easy enough and is unrestricted. There's easy access too, to public transport: • Metrolink tram 0.5mile/ 11 min walk • Bus stops direct to Manchester, Stockport, Trafford Centre, 0.2mile/ 5 min walk • Old Trafford Cricket is 20 min walk, Manchester United's stadium is about a 35 min walk, or a taxi ride. MCFC’s Etihad can be easily reached by Metrolink tram. Free, unlimited 100Mbps superfast fibre internet on guest WiFi. Fresh linen, ample pillows, set of towels per guest. Extras on request for a modest charge. Simple breakfast foods are provided to get you started and there are plenty grocery shops nearby for extra supplies. Central heating is controllable 24h, and there’s unlimited hot water.
