Our home is lovingly decorated, clean and tidy with a wonderful kitchen. This restored church is a a real Gem in Hermit Park. Enjoy sharing the space of the entire home with us, use of pool, piano, kitchen, BBQ, outside living space and our quirky cat Poppy. We are happy to interact with guest as much or as little as their needs require. There is plenty of space to relax. We are happy to interact with guests as much or as little as thier needs require. Guests are more than welcome to share meals with us or be independent in the kitchen, whatever suits. We are pretty easy going and flexible. We have both lived and worked in Townsville for over 15 years. We have used airbnb ourselves and love the concept. We love hosting, meeting new people and sharing our home with others. Hermit Park is an eclectic quirky suburb, with some wonderful old Queenslanders, some renovated and some not. It is close to the city and the Strand and has good public transport to the City, the Strand, JCU and The Townsville Hospital. It is within walking distance to the V8 Super Cars track and a 5 minute ride to the Civic Theatre. There is a supermarket, bottle shop, newsagent and local restaurants within walking distance from our place. Hermit Park has good public transport to the City, The Strand, James Cook University and The Townsville Hospital. We have had a number of JCU students staying with us who have been on clinical placements or attending JCU for Block Subjects. They have found access to the University easy and convenient. I have a bicycle that can be used and we can help out with transport when we are free. There is plenty of off street parking for those with hire cars. I work at The Townsville Hospital and I am studying Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine at JCU part time. My partner is a professional photographer, Andrew Rankin, who works from home when he is not out on assignment. We both have good local knowledge of the beauty of North Queensland and Magnetic Island that we are happy to share. We both enjoy meeting new people, are interested in the outdoors, nature, bushwalking and the arts.
