This unit is an ideal place to stay in Brisbane for travel, work...and the perfect base to start your new life if you are relocating. This unit is a genuine "entire home". The wardrobes are not filled with my clothes - they are empty and ready for yours. This unit is not a 'granny flat' or a 'converted space'. So move in and really feel at home. Morningside is only 5km from Brisbane CBD in the Eastern suburbs, south of the river. The unit is 200 metres from a bus stop, 400 metres from Morningside Train Station (on Cleveland line) and 15-20 min drive to CDB or airport. Keyless, digital entry. • 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath/shower. Separate toilet. • Free Wireless internet, and free telephone to local, interstate and mobile phone numbers. Mobile phone reception and NBN internet speeds are good in this location. • Master bedroom with comfortable queen bed, fresh linen, and well-designed inbuilt wardrobe with plenty of hangers (including skirt and trouser hangers) and drawers. • The study / 2nd bedroom is a compact 3m x 2.5m and set up according to your booking for your entire stay. For a single or couple, the standard set up includes a desk and free standing wardrobe. For families of 3, or two adults requiring separate beds, a single bed with a comfortable full-size quality mattress is added. • We can accommodate young children. If you have a baby or toddler, we can provide a portacot with linen, baby bath with stand, and high-chair. • Please include children in the "number of guests" when booking. • If required, the extra bed or portacot for the second bedroom must be requested when you book for the entire duration of your stay. • Reverse cycle air conditioner in the main living area cools or warms the entire unit (if the bedroom doors are left open). The unit is also fully screened (so no bugs flying in) with a small balcony, and overhead fans in the bedrooms. We can also add a small panel heater to the unit in winter. • Modern kitchen with large full-size fridge, microwave oven, cook-top and oven, dishwasher, rice-cooker, toaster, hand mixer and kettle - everything you need to prepare meals. There are also some basic provisions such as milk, tea, coffee, soup, baked beans, spices, butter, oil, sugar, honey and other breakfast spreads to get you started. • Modern washing machine and dryer. Laundry powder provided. There is also a clothes airer available in the unit and a clothesline available at the back of the units. • Iron and ironing board. • Modern, clean bathroom with the shower over bath. Hairdryer provided along with towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower wash, soaps, and other basics. • Panasonic 50inch LED LCD Full High Definition Smart TV and Disc player (Blu-ray, DVD, CD) with Netflix capability (BYO account), ABCiView, SBSOnDemand, and all free-to-air channels. Relax on the comfy 2-seater leather sofa and enjoy great movies, documentaries and TV shows during your stay. A collection of DVDs is supplied too. • Polished Bamboo wooden flooring throughout. Easy to clean! Cleaning equipment, stick vacuum and supplies available, helpful if you are here for a long stay. • The unit is compact, but it doesn't feel cramped. It is very well designed, light, comfortable and clean. • The unit is on lively Richmond Road. We have added superior sound insulation to the windows and ceiling to create a peaceful retreat. • Single, remote-controlled, lock-up garage, 5.2 metres in length, can accommodate vehicles up to 2.2 metres in height. • Garage has an additional attached secure room with window, sink, clothes dryer, table, and shelving for extra storage - perfect to store suitcases, golf clubs, etc. After the first week, supplies are up to you, and most people are happy to look after themselves. For long stays of several months, a monthly quick clean is included in the cost. Enjoy the entire 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit to yourselves. We do not live onsite. The unit is on the top (first) level up one flight of stairs. Positioned at the front of a small complex of only 5 units (most owner-occupied) there are no units above or below you. The unit complex is nothing grand from the outside, but it is neat and clean and in a great location. We respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy the unit to yourselves. We don't live on-site so all cupboards and hanging space are ready for your belongings. The unit's digital front door lock means you can self-check in any time of the day or night. Arrangements for your access code will be made when your arrival details are confirmed. We can be contacted by email or phone if you need assistance. This is a genuine fully-functional, ready to use, "entire home", not a granny flat, half house, or underhouse conversion. Morningside is only 5 km from Brisbane CBD in the sought-after eastern suburbs. Popular Morningside has cafes, restaurants, shopping and plenty of parks. It is also a close drive to Oxford St Bulimba and Hawthorne with their restaurants, boutique shops, ferry terminals, and cinemas, as well as both Cannon Hill Shopping Centre and the huge Carindale Shopping Centre. The Gateway motorway is only 5km drive providing easy access to the Domestic and International airports, and the motorways to the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coasts. There are many beautiful parks nearby, including Seven Hills bush reserve (on Richmond Rd) with great walking/running trails; and the Minnippi parklands with extensive bikeways along Bulimba Creek and around the lake. Check out the new outdoor gym facilities free to park users. The beautiful Brisbane bay is a 20 minute drive along Wynnum Road. The foreshore is a great place to exercise and the free, outdoor wading pool (built in the 1930's) with filtered sea-water is fantastic spot for young children. Enjoy a stroll and then choose between the many restaurants and cafes in Wynnum main street. Finally, don't forget to explore Brisbane's wonderful city centre and surrounds including the city botanic gardens, Kangaroo Point cliffs and Southbank Parklands (with its own free swimming beach along with Brisbane's museum, art gallery and performing arts complexes). For those who don't mind walking or running a few kilometres, the CBD river circuit is a must. If you have a car, park at Kangaroo Point, follow the pedestrian and cycling path along the river underneath the cliffs, to southbank, across the Goodwill (pedestrian) Bridge, through the botanic gardens and then be tempted by all the cafes and restaurants along Eagle Pier, and finally back across the river via the Story bridge. If you catch the train in, hop off at SouthBank or South Brisbane and then make your way to the river and start the circuit by crossing the Goodwill or Victoria Bridge. Of course, you can always catch a city cat or cross-river ferry if that all seems too much work! For the more adventurous, book a Story Bridge climb or check out RiverLife (offering abseiling or rock climbing on the cliffs, or hire paddle boards or kayaks to explore the Brisbane river). If you have a car, Mt Coot-tha is a 30 minute drive away and is a popular spot with a lovely lookout of Brisbane and cafe/restaurant at the top. There are also a number of excellent parks at its base with access to extensive walks. The Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens and Planetarium are also worth taking in. The unit is perfect for both public transport or if you have a vehicle with easy access to the city and the Gateway Motorway to the airport, Sunshine and Gold coasts. Walk to public transport with the nearest bus stops just 200 or 280 metres along Richmond Rd (depending which direction you want to travel), and more buses on nearby Wynnum Road. Cannon Hill Bus Interchange is on Creek Road, at one end of Richmond Road. Morningside Train Station has trains to the city each 15 minutes from morning to evening (on the Cleveland line) and is only 400 metres walk. Allow 25min to reach the CBD using public transport (includes walking time). See the Translink website for Brisbane public transport information and journey planners. To purchase a Go Card or SEEQ card before you arrive, go to Tickets and Fares > Go Card > Go card for visitors. Download the free visitors pack. Or hire a car through "Car Next Door". A car is often available near the unit. Sign up in advance. To obtain a discount on your first trip, go to the "Car Next Door" website and add the URL suffix /invited/RKDKAW We wish all our guests an enjoyable stay in Brisbane. We don't live on-site and are a 20 minute drive away. Your neighbours in the block of flats are great - friendly and helpful. Feel free to say "Hi" if you see them around the units.
