Shepherd's hut on Cotswold Farm near Castle Combe
Enjoy a relaxing and luxurious stay in our cosy shepherds hut in a quiet setting on a farm in Nettleton. Sleeping two in a comfy double bed, it is perfect for couples, friends or solo travellers. Located on the doorstep of beautiful walks, local pubs, farm shops and historic towns and villages, Castle Combe is within walking distance. An ideal base to explore the Cotswolds, Bath and Bristol. ... or simply a place to unwind, read a good book and get back to nature. The hut has a luxurious comfy double bed, kitchenette and en suite bathroom and power shower. There is thermostat controlled electric heating and a log burner for cosy nights in. The hut has its own private entrance and fenced off gravelled area in a small field next to the farmhouse and yard. Guest must climb four steps to assess the hut. Guest should not wander around the farm yard without prior permission. Assuming guests are happy to help themselves using the key box then we like to leave them to it. We take every care to make everything self-explanatory so guests can just turn the key, let themselves in, make themselves at home and get their relaxing escape underway. That said we're usually somewhere close-by on the farm and can show guests round if they wish. We are always contactable on the phone to answer any questions. The Stores in Acton Turville is our closest village shop just a couple of miles away and The Old House at Home pub in Burton serves excellent food and drinks less than a mile away. A walk into the village next door, Castle Combe and you'll find a cosy coffee shop called The Old Stables or a choice or two pubs. Whilst it is possible to walk to a few pub options (closest being 0.9 miles), if you are wanting to get around the area on anything other that foot or bike power it is best to visit with a car as there is very limited public transport available. There is free off-road parking onsite.
