The villa is in Torca, a quiet village at the start of the Amalfi Coast, just a few minutes from Sorrento. Villa Le Birbe is the ideal base from which to discover the delights of the region, whether you wish to explore the enchanting coastline, or perhaps visit the olive groves and orange trees of the Punta Campanella, a Marine Protected Area. The highlight of Villa Le Birbe is undoubtedly the large garden and terraces. The above-ground swimming pool measures 10m x 4m, and is 1.2m deep. It is open from 4 April to the end of October. The pool is set within a lawned area with a natural rockery, trees and flowering shrubs. The lovely view across the green treetops to the sea can be appreciated from one of your sunbeds. Tables and chairs are dotted around the terraced areas of Villa Le Birbe, providing a lovely choice of places to relax. Why not dine in the shade of the pergola, with the delicious scent of the wisteria drifting around you? There is also a wonderful outdoor kitchen, with a cooker, wood-fired pizza oven and a dining table for eight. Moving inside the villa, you will feel instantly at home within the simple, classic furnishings. The terracotta tiled floors and white walls provide the perfect backdrop for traditional wooden furniture. Many of the rooms have lovely stained glass windows, with the coloured light dancing across the white walls as the sun shines through. All rooms within the villa have air conditioning. There is also an internet Wifi connection. The entrance to the villa is bright and airy and gives access to a large living room, divided into two areas. The first has a comfortable double sofa bed and flat-screen satellite television. The other side offers a dining table for eight and has an attractive fireplace. From the living room, three steps lead into the large kitchen. This is well-equipped with six gas rings, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. From the kitchen, there is direct access to a beautiful patio. The first double bedroom is on the ground floor. This is comfortably and attractively decorated with an en suite bathroom providing a shower, washbasin, toilet, bidet and hairdryer. The other double bedroom and a further twin bedroom are on the upper floor. These also have an en suite bathroom each, one with shower, and the other with a bathtub. The access to the villa is along a rural lane, rather narrow at certain points, and not suitable for larger cars such as people carriers. A small car is recommended – please get in touch if you have any concerns about your vehicle. Parking is no problem, with plenty of space available within the grounds of the property.
