The Wain House at Brinsop
The Wain House will sleep up to 4 persons in two double bedrooms. It is ideally suited to small families and for couples looking for a romantic getaway or to explore the beautiful "Marches" border country. The Wain House is a converted 17th century grade 11 listed barn conversion which retains the charm and character of the original building. It is separate from the White House and is self contained with its own entrance. It is centrally heated and has a wood burning stove in the living room. The cottage which sleeps up to 4 persons in two bedrooms has lots of character and is centrally heated and furnished sympathetically and traditionally, yet well equipped with flat screen TV/DVD player, games, books, and a wide selection of maps and DVDs. Egyptian cotton bedding, towels and toiletries are provided. Outside the cottages are lawned gardens and a patio that lead to the ancient fish pool. Surrounding the properties are beautiful grounds extending to 3 acres which include a spectacular lake and safe parking for vehicles. Guests are encouraged to make full use of all the facilities. The property is situated in the rural hamlet of Brinsop near to Hereford. The Church of St George with Wordsworth connections is a short walk away and we overlook the Iron Age Hill Fort at Credenhill Park Woods. We are close to Offa's Dyke and the Brecon Beacons National Park whilst the towns of Hay on Wye, Ludlow and Leominster are nearby. The hourly bus service from mid Wales to Hereford stops at bottom of our lane. The journey to Hereford is 6 miles and takes about 15 minutes. There is ample parking for vehicles within the grounds. Birmingham airport can be reached by train from Hereford.
