Cornish cottage in peaceful central location.
A much loved family home, previously a clay worker's cottage. It has it's quirks, knocks and scrapes but is ideal for a couple or family get away. The cottage is comfortably furnished with books, games and dvd's for you to enjoy - a home from home after a busy day exploring Cornwall. Lanjeth is in a rural setting, you can sit in the garden and listen to the birds and relax in quiet surroundings. The garden is large, plenty of space for the children and secluded with a bbq table and seating. If you're looking for ultra modern with all mod cons then this probably isn't the place for you. Historically this was a cottage for the clay workers in a peaceful countryside location. There is a large garden at the rear of the property for the children to play in and seating is provided. Inside, the property is comfortably furnished with 2 two-seater sofas, a dining table and 4 chairs with lamps to provide relaxing lighting. A flat screen 32 inch television, books, games and DVDs are provided for your enjoyment. There is a compact kitchen area with cooker and microwave, fridge with freezer compartment. In the outbuilding there is a freezer and washing machine for your use with drying area. The outbuilding is also big enough to lock your cycles away. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. There are mattress protectors on the beds however we would ask that you bring a waterproof mat if you have very young children who are not totally dry by night. The bathroom has bath and separate shower cubicle with electric shower. Locally produced toiletries are provided. In addition, eco friendly cleaning materials are provided for your use. There is parking on the road outside the cottage. There is a small front garden and large back garden and outbuilding with freezer and washing machine and drying area. I live approximately 20 minutes away and can be available if there are any problems. The cottage is located in a rural hamlet just outside of St Austell. The road is a residential area with no parking restrictions. Whilst there is no private parking there is space directly outside the cottage. There is a local bus route which would take you to St Austell and beyond in one direction and to Newquay in the other direction. Lanjeth Plant Nursery and Water Garden and Lanjeth Riding Stables are nearby. The roads around the area are quiet and ideal for walking and cycling. The location is central for travel to Newquay or St Austell Bay. Various buses serve the area to travel to Newquay, Truro, St Austell and Fowey. St Austell Railway Station is easily reached and the train to St Ives along the coast is a beautiful trip to make. In addition you may wish to visit Mevagissey (historic fishing village ) or Charlestown both of which are approximately 20 - 30 minutes by car. There is a small garden at the front of the cottage accessed through private gate and high step.
