Quiet setting with valley views

Two bedroom house, sleeps 4: queen size bed, two single beds (can be combined for king). Fully equipped kitchen; refrigerator; electric stove; microwave oven; TV, DVD player, Apple TV (not the streaming service!); radio; CD player; washing machine & dryer; flued gas heating; air conditioning; BBQ. As well as two bedrooms the house has a kitchen/dining/living/area and bathroom. There is an artificial log gas heater with external flue and an air conditioner. The back verandah is enclosed, containing a BBQ, table and chairs and a large bath overlooking a private garden. The front of the house offers tree-filtered views to the Kanimbla Valley and beyond. As the block has never been cleared it contains original trees and shrubs in a native garden. A bird feeder (seed provided) encourages many local bird species to the garden. There is a lock-up garage. There are locked cupboards containing owners' items; guests have access to everything else. The owners are not present during guest stays. The house is about 1 km from Mt Victoria village and railway station (15 min walk). The village has a general store, the heritage Imperial hotel with bistro, the Petaluma Cafe and the Piccolo Deli (both open Thu-Sun for breakfast and lunch) and an historic cinema (Mt Vic Flicks), showing arthouse and recently released movies. It is 7 km by road to Blackheath, 17 km to Katoomba and 23 km to Lithgow. There are many short walks, ranging from 30 min to full day, in the Mt Victoria area (information brochures at the house). It is 8 km (mostly gravel road) to Victoria Falls. The railway line (Sydney Central - Lithgow) provides access to other Blue Mountains towns. To gain the most from the surrounding area, a car is advisable. Within easy driving distance (1-2 hr) are Bathurst, Jenolan Caves and Mudgee. It is less than an hour to Mt Wilson and the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens. The house is about 1 km from Mt Victoria Railway Station. It is about 130 km by road from Sydney. About 300 m past the traffic lights, turn left into Grandview Road, follow to the end and turn left into Kenny Street. The house is about 200 m along on the left hand side of the road. MINIMUM BOOKING IS TWO NIGHTS. Check-in time: 2 pm Check-out time: 11 am These are nominal times; usually they may be relaxed upon request. Hand towels (bathroom and kitchen) and tea towels are supplied. Guests normally bring their own linen (sheets, pillow cases) and personal towels. However these can be provided on request for an extra fee of $80 per stay. Blankets and quilts are provided.
