The charming family home is a detached former coach house that sleeps 6, has a secure secluded garden and is close to all the attractions & amenities. It is popular with families, couples and small groups for both long weekends and holidays. The secure secluded patio and garden is a real gem and a great sun-trap. Great for dining outside, relaxing or letting children play. There is a separate dining area as well as the living room and a downstairs master bedroom with access to the patio and garden. There are two bedrooms upstairs with twin beds in each. Both bathrooms have baths with showers. Clean linen and towels are provided. There are lots of garden furniture and a barbeque for guests to use. Instructions on access details are supplied before guests arrive. Elie is a very popular weekend break and holiday destination as it has something for everyone. Throughout the year visitors can book to play on one of Scotland's oldest and most scenic links golf courses. There is also the 9 hole "wee course" which is where many golfers (including myself) learned to play the game. In the holidays there are excellent group coaching lessons for children run by the golf professional. There are 5 full tennis courts and 3 mini courts as well as an excellent putting course at the Pavilion which is also a great meeting point for families. There are beautiful beaches in and around Elie with fabulous coastal walks to nearby fishing villages. At the harbour there is a very popular water sports centre where people can either learn or hire a wide range of equipment. The village also has three pubs that all offer food, the most famous of which is the Ship Inn with its beer garden overlooking the sea. There is also a wide range of shops including a newsagent, gift shops, a chemist and a very good deli. St. Andrews is only a 20 minute car ride away. You can take the coastal road to St. Monans, Pittenweem, Anstruther and Crail. The cottage has off-road parking for 3 cars which is real bonus during the busy holiday spells. There are good local bus services too. This is a family home and as such has some personal belongings and momentos.
