Matlock - close to the Peak District

PLEASE NOTE: I'm only accepting guests who have had the Covid vaccination. A cosy double en-suite, and a single room (small charge payable directly on arrival) in a private house Situated a short (15 min) walk from Matlock town on a peaceful private setting by Bentley Brook, at Baileys Mill. Footpaths from the doorstep and a short journey into the heart of the Peak District by car. Please note - this property is for B&B and is not self catering. No use of the kitchen The bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room. There are french doors with a Juliette balcony. A TV is available with all the freeview channels. There is a small room adjacent with tea and coffee making facilities. PLEASE NOTE - there are two short flights of stairs up to the room from the entrance. Internet access and phone signal are both good. The single room is only available in conjunction with the double - a small charge payable on arrival. Guests are welcome to join me in the lounge area to read, listen to music, access the internet or simply enjoy some quiet time. There is internet access throughout the house, but is not superfast. Guests may request to use the main bathroom. The garden area is open to all, a lovely suntrap when the weather is favourable. I am a keen walker (replacement knees in October 2015 and August 2016) and can offer help and guidance with days out in the peak district. I can offer various tours from walking, photography, history and geology. A custom itinery can be constructed to suit your needs if you are interested. Guests are very welcome to share their evenings with me in the lounge if they so wish. See other things to note for details of travel Bentley Brook is situated at Bailey Mill just outside Matlock. There is a beautiful area up the valley calle Lumsdale, where there is some lovely industrial heritage. Matlock is home to several decent pubs and restaurants, and it is a short drive to several other villages nearby which nearly all have a village pub. There is a train station at Matlock for trains from Derby. Collection is available. There are quite a few buses that run from Matlock to various places in the Peak District. I'll try to advise as best I can on the routes to the Peak District. Breakfast is fruit salad, cereal, toast and a boiled egg perfectly done. Orange juice, tea, coffee with skimmed, semi skimmed or full fat milk. Please note - No cooking is allowed in the kitchen. I can provide transport down to Matlock Town if you are going out for a meal, and maybe able to pick up afterwards as long as you give me plenty of notice (free of charge).
