La Châtaigne, tranquility central!

Fully modernised barn conversion in an idyllic part of France. Tranquility and relaxation whilst being close enough to a large village with excellent shopping, bars and cafes. The accommodation is in the centre of farm land, with lots of space and a large pool. The area has lots to offer, canoeing, horse riding, cycling, walking etc as well as typical markets and night markets with local produce and excellent food. We will be on hand to meet your every need! The accommodation is situated in the centre of a large farm surrounded by fields and woods. On entering the barn there is a large lounge/kitchen/dining area with a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is also a wood burning stove for cozy evenings by the fire. There are three very large bedrooms and additional sleeping space in the lobby area. In addition we are able to supply a travel cot and high chair - we have a range of toys and games as well as a large supply of DVDs. Outside there are a range of areas for eating al fresco including a vine covered patio, fire pit and BBQ. In addition there is a large pool (open from late May until mid October) The area is ideal for exploring the villages of the Aveyron, walking, cycling or relaxing by the pool. The skies at night are breath-taking and on a clear night the Milky Way can be clearly seen with the naked eye. We are generally always close by and if not we will provide you with contacts to help in emergencies This is a very quiet location - so peaceful. The barn is right in the heart of an old farm with streams, woods and a river (including an ancient Roman bridge). We are close to the villages of Najac, Cordes sur Ciel, St Antonin and Villefranche de Rouergue. Further afield there are the medieval cities of Albi, Toulouse and the stunning Carcassone. There are numerous markets and night markets, we are just on the fringes on Gaillac and can recommend many wine tasting trips. For the energetic the area has all types of activities from horse riding, mountain biking, canoeing, walking etc. Its a great base for either relaxing by the pool or learning about the villages and valleys of the Aveyron Nearest airport is Rodez, and for frequent flights Toulouse is about 90 minutes away by car. There is a railway station in Najac too. This is a rural area so driving is generally at a slower pace and the roads a little narrower than usual
