My place is not new but full of character in white and blue tones. It's your perfect vacation stay with the beach as your back yard. As a super-host, I welcome you. 2 bedroom unit (with a loft) in Aspendale, a few steps to the beach, and a 10 min walk to the fabulous Mordialloc shops (a bayside suburb of Melbourne). - Queen bed in master with mattress topper. Second bedroom has 2 single beds or a King bed. The Loft has a sofa bed. (Please note the main bedroom does not have a closing door. It does have a full screen to use for privacy. The 2nd bedroom has doors.) - Great to have partial views of the water from both inside and out of the apartment. - Instant heat in winter with beautiful gas-log fire, cosy rugs and warm doonas + blankets.- Sip wine on the balcony, hearing the gentle waves by the bay. - Have a spa in the granite tiled, white bathroom with Hollywood lights - New split system heater/aircon in lounge as well as stylish ceiling fans in both bedrooms. - Make an expresso coffee with the Nespresso machine in the well appointed kitchen - including Casa Domani crockery, dishwasher, guest gift hamper etc. - Sleep in 1,000 thread count cotton linen + bamboo/foam underlays. -Wooden venetian blinds on windows Entire 1st floor apartment, including loft, plus a car space right at stairs to the front door. All just steps from the beach. Please note there is large flight of steps leading up to the front entrance. If you want to get some peace and quiet, but don't want to be too far from the city, then this is the place for you. You have direct access to the beach, only forty steps from your apartment. No busy road to cross for your refreshing morning walk or swim. Set in a residential block, this apartment has water views from the study nook in the dinning area, and your own private balcony. Have your breakfast listening to the waves in the morning and watch the sailing boats go by. It's not unusual to see bottle-nose dolphins go swimming by. Neighbors have photos and encounters with them when on their kyaks. Port Phillip Bay is one of the few places on earth where common dolphins have abandoned open ocean to live in gentle waters. When you need supplies, just walk ten minutes up the beach to Mordialloc seaside village. Here you will find supermarkets, restaurants, bars, bus stops and the train station. Hire a boat and go fishing on the bay, walk along the pier or Mordialloc Boardwalk and watch people flying kites in the breeze. If you play golf you will think you're in heaven. There are many famous sand-belt golf courses in the area. Perfect for an executive on business, for a family relocating to Melbourne or a couple on a romantic getaway. From a week to several months you will be very happy enjoying the mediteranian flavour of this blue and white featured home - with a little bit of Mykonos in Mordialloc. While we are conveniently right on the Nepean Highway, the property is actually below the level of the road - so you hardly hear any noise at all.; Hense this is a little haven of tranquility. The balcony it at the back of the property, so is quite private and welcoming at any hour of the day or night. If arriving in Melbourne by plane, the "Frankston & Peninsular Airport Shuttle Bus" can drop you a few doors away from the apartment. Taxi from Tullamarine airport is approx $120AUD, or hire cars can be picked up at the airport for your conveniance The Skybus can take you from the airport to the city (approx 20min) - where you can catch a Frankston Line train to Mordialloc (about 40 mins). From there either 15min walk or short taxi ride to the apartment. From your apartment you're just a 15 min drive to Frankston, and down to the Mornington Peninsula. Visit seaside Mornington, the wineries, and watch the penguins at Phillip Island. Going north to the city - just 30mins away - you have all the wonders of the city: the Australian Open tennis in Jan, the Aussie Rules Football Apr-Sep, Cricket at the MCG Dec-May, City Shopping, and famous fireworks on Australia Day - Jan 27th, and NYE. The beautiful Botanical Gardens, Yarra River, the Victorian Arts Centre and Gallery, and War Memorial are all on your side of the city and easy to access by train or 1/2 hour drive. - 30 second walk to the waves! - Water views from balcony - 10min walk (along the beach if you like) to Doyles Bar & Cafe. - 15min walk (2min drive) to Mordialloc train and bus stations, fabulous cafes (incl: Main Street Cafe, Tommy Ruff's Fish shop) and 2 full supermarkets and Endota spa. - 7min drive to Southland Shopping Centre - (including cinemas, banks, travel agents, money exchange, spas and shopping) - 30min drive to city (non-peak). Train takes 40mins (peak times)
