Tui's Rest - Iconic Kiwi Bach at Whiritoa Beach

Tui's Rest is an iconic Kiwi bach in beautiful Whiritoa Beach in the Coromandel (15 minutes south of Whangamata). The bach is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. It has a flat private section opening to a large reserve with skate ramp, basket ball hoop and tennis courts. The bach is approximately 4 minutes walk to the beach. The beach is patrolled in summer, has a safe swimming lagoon situated at the northern end there is also a children's playground, and a cafe/dairy . Tui's Rest is a private, quiet, comfortable and casual space with all the necessary appliances to make your stay enjoyable. Please note that the third bedroom is a comfortable, newly furnished outside room. It contains a queen bed and also a set of bunks available for use. The second bedroom also contains a queen bed and a set of bunks - so the space is perfect for families. There is a large sunny deck, outdoor tables and a BBQ for guests use. We provide some tennis racquets and balls and a key for access to the newly surfaced tennis courts just through the back garden gate. We also have a hammock and deck chairs to enjoy the sun. Unlimited wifi and good cellphone reception are a bonus. Tea, coffee, and condiments are provided, along with a large fridge/freezer which is exclusive for guests use. I am sorry, but we cannot provide perishable food such as milk, bread etc, however, you can pick these staples up on your way through Waihi or Whangamata, or purchase them from the local Whiritoa Cafe and Store. All crockery and cutlery is provided. Linen and towels are also provided. Sorry, but absolutely no pets. Guests can access all rooms in the space - we have two fridges - one for guest's use, and the other for our use and is locked. The pantry is in two parts - the upper part is for guest's use, and contains condiments etc. The bottom part of the pantry contains our food and is also locked. We are available via cellphone during your stay. Whiritoa is situated between Waihi and Whangamata (15 minutes to both). Enjoy bush and beach walks, or relax with a nice coffee or casual meal from the Whiritoa General Store and Cafe. There is a lovely 30 minute bush walk from the Northern end of the beach over the hill to next door Waimama Bay where you can take a picnic and have a swim. There is no public transport available from this location. However, Whangamata has a very nice variety of cafes, bars, shops, clubs and a golf course as well as a good supermarket, and it is only 15 minutes drive away. The third bedroom is an out side room within a couple of meters of the main house. It is carpeted and freshly painted and is very comfortable. It has a queen size bed, a set of bunks as well as a pull out bed. If you are looking for more room than Tui's Rest can offer you, Magical Mako is also an AirBnB bach right next door that could be available - straight through the fence, this is an ideal set up for extended families to enjoy time together.
