Large double bed in main room and single bed in adjoining room for guest use. Guest bathroom next bedrooms. Hospitality tray, mini fridge, microwave, cotton bed linen and towels provided. This is an old rambling house and home with books, musical instruments and plants. Set away from the road it is a quiet and peaceful place to stay yet very near University. The terraced and sunny garden was a small-holding producing vegetables and supporting livestock in the woods. More recently the decorative garden grew flowers for displays in local churches and chapels. The garden has been neglected over the last few years and I am starting to bring it back to order while retaining its wild charm. There is an old slate lined well and fruit trees in the lower terraces leading down to the Padarn stream. This stream was the freshwater source for the medieval scholastic monastery at Llanbadarn. You can still hear the bells ringing from the old church on days of celebration. Washing machine, dryer and a washing line on the lawn, available for use on request, small fee at host discretion. Guests have their own bathroom. I enjoy meeting guests and try to allow guests to lead on how much interaction they wish during their visit. I wear a mask when meeting guests. A quiet, wooded and beautiful valley within sight of the Irish Sea yet so near urban facilities. Aberystwyth has a mainline train station and is a hub for national coaches and buses. The house is near several local and national bus routes and you can walk to pretty much anywhere within 30 minutes in Aberystwyth. Parking is secure on road in a very quiet, modern estate with street lighting and a short walk, @ 100m, along a path to house. If guests have more luggage and/or equipment than can be easily carried to house, I can decant into my small old VW Polo and drive down narrow lane access to house. This lane is too narrow for most vehicles and there is no parking at house itself.
