Tiny garden house with mezzanine bedroom, private entrance and off-street parking. New Shores is a modern self contained space with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, double bed (mezzanine) and single sofa bed. Private entrance via the coded side gate next to our house (Old Shores) with a key box to gain entry to New Shores. There is a small enclosed garden space outside New Shores house with table and chairs. You are also welcome to use our washing machine and dryer housed in our outhouse. Iron and ironing board available from us on request. As New Shores is a tiny house, there is limited storage space with the stairs leading up to the bed being the main storage area. There is a small pull-out hanger by the front door for anything you need to hang. As it is an intimate space we would suggest it’s best for couples or very close friends. Parking space on our drive available, if required - please request when booking. You'll have the whole space to yourselves with access via a side gate. 24hrs before your arrival we will send you the codes for the gate and the key box. We live in the main house 'Old Shores' so may be around during your visit. We respect your privacy so will leave you to enjoy your stay but of course are more than happy to be contacted during your stay if you have any queries/issues. Portslade is up and coming! New Shores is situated just a 5 minute walk from Portslade Station where trains can get you into central Brighton within 10 mins or London in an hour. There is a Sainsbury's superstore pretty much opposite our house, with an Aldi and Tesco within walking distance l on Boundary Road. We’re also situated within a short drive (or bike ride) from the beach and Hove Lagoon (watersports centre). A 10 minute drive will get you the beautiful Sussex Downs with walks & country pubs a plenty! You can rent bikes from Portslade station and there are drop off/ pick up points across the city. It’s the cheapest way to get around - takes about 5 mins to ride to Hove Lagoon and 20 mins to ride into central Brighton. There is a great pub next to the station called 'The Railway', a craft beer pub further down the street called 'The Foghorn', as well as many cafes, such as 'Plant', shops and eateries. 5 minute walk to Portslade station, where direct trains run to London every half an hour and regularly to Brighton, which is only a 10 minute journey, so you can be in central Brighton within 15 minutes! We have 2 bus stops within a stones throw of the house with many bus routes all serving Brighton and the surrounding areas (No.2, 6, 46, 49). We are a 5 minute drive from the A23 and only 30 minutes from Gatwick Airport. Radiators There are two in the main space, one under the table (switch to the left) and one freestanding by the table. Please do not leave these on when you’re not there. There’s also a towel radiator in the bathroom, switch to turn that on is behind the green chair. Fan Please do not turn the fan in the bathroom off and where possible open some windows for a short time after having a shower. Pets We have a very friendly miniature dachshund called Mabel who likes to pootle about in the garden. We also have two friendly (but nosey) cats - Betty is black with white feet and Babs is tortoiseshell. If they get too nosey please feel free to kick’em out if they come and say hi during your stay!
