Traditional, stone-built cottage in Syros

Lovingly restored and converted farmhouse in the heart of Syros, with 3 double bedrooms, fully modernized kitchen & bathroom, outbuildings & large outdoor areas with landscaped gardens. With a plethora of original features and furnishings. Close to public transport route; private car is recommended for exploring Ermoupolis, nearby villages/beaches, all within 10'-15' drive. In a rural area, suitable for large families, couples/friends sharing & people who enjoy a relaxing time. The main building dates back from the middle of last century and was extended and refufurbised in the late '70s. It has been recently renovated (2018) to a high standard, with a modern bathroom and kitchen, while retaining many of the original features. We even managed to trace some of its original soft furnishings (curtains, tablecloths, dinning sets etc.) for an authentic, unique, traditional experience. Besides the three main bedrooms, there are two sofa-beds (one double, one sigle) in the living room for up to 3 additional guests, while cotbeds can also be made available, all of which at no extra cost. The gardens have been re-landscaped to contain a mixture of young and older olive trees, lemon trees, Clementine, Bergamot orange (Pergamonto) while a mixture of cacti of various sizes and species are also present. If you enjoy gardening, you're welcomed to indulge yourselves! There are 3 - 4 free parking spaces on premises to facilitate private transport, while the house is located off the main county road for easy access. Guests will be able to enjoy the whole house, outbuildings, BBQ & separate traditional wood oven, restored dovecote (pigeon house) and the landscaped gardens which are in three different levels (elevations). This is a rural area with the house providing ideal privacy. Situated off main public transport road for easy access. There is a supermarket nearby for shopping supplies and for general daily needs. ============ COVID-19 Update ===================== The house has stayed COVID-19-free throughout the pandemic and will be disinfected prior and after your visit, while we'll adhere to any social distancing and state recommendations.
