The Annexe at Avalon is recently-built and is an ideal private space for two to three people. It is attached to a bungalow with a garden and has off-road parking. Mylor Bridge is a popular village at the head of Mylor creek and is an ideal centre for touring the area. Please note that the property is in Mylor Bridge and not Mylor Churchtown as shown (map below). The Annexe is self-contained with its own front door. The space is open-plan and the hallway leads into a kitchen/living room with French windows opening onto steps to the garden. Outside there is a small sitting area for your use. A single bedroom leads off the hall. The shower room and toilet are also on the ground floor. Stairs lead up from the living room to a spacious double bedroom on the first floor. I will usually be resident in the house next door and will be available if you need any help. Mylor Bridge is a good sized village four miles from Falmouth. There are several shops in the village as well as an excellent local pub. It is an ideal spot from which to visit the beaches and coastline of this beautiful part of Cornwall. There are also many walks nearby. Walking along the creek towards the open sea you come to Mylor Harbour. Here you drop down past the ancient church of St Mylor to a modern marina where there is an excellent cafe and a winebar. In the other direction you reach the Pandora Inn, a creekside thatched pub that dates from the 13th Century. Flushing is a village two miles away. It is a pretty harbour with a small beach, and also a convenient ferry over to Falmouth. Mylor Bridge is two miles from the main Truro to Falmouth road. A car is useful if you want to explore further afield, but not absolutely necessary, especially if you enjoy walking. There is a bus service into Penryn and Falmouth and also a ferry that runs from Flushing over to Falmouth The nearest supermarkets are two or three miles away in the Falmouth direction but there are several shops, including a well-stocked grocery shop, a short walk from the house.
