Situated right at Purlingbrook Falls, you're only minutes away from breath-taking lookouts and national park rainforest, Dragonfly cottage is a fully self contained cottage nestled in the rainforest, yet a short walk away from Springbrooks best attractions. The walking trails on your doorstep take you to a magical world through rainforest, from the spectacular lookouts above the falls, to longer trails that run under the falls and down to Warringa pool, a beautiful spot for a swim or picnic. Of course the cottage is fully equiped with all the usual facilities like an LCD TV, Bluray player and ipod dock, but its sometimes the little things that can make a holiday. Things like the bird feeding, hiking poles and water bottles, a picnic set and rug, coffee grinder and plunger, books on the area and Australian habitats and wildlife and activities for the kids. You can spend hours relaxing on the huge raised covered deck overlooking Kuralboo creek and it's surrounds, with outdoor heating and a 4 burner gas barbecue. Here you'll most likely meet a number of our local visitors including a family of Kookaburras, lorikeets and rozellas. Springbrook and its surrounds are truly inspirational. You may like to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, check out the views, indulge at the local cafes, treat yourself to a massage and visit the nearby winery. Perhaps you fancy a walk under the rainforest canopy, past ancient tress, streams and waterfalls and swimming in a pool of clear cool mountain water or seeing the milkyway sparkle in the dark skies of the mountain. Nature lovers will appreciate the myriad of bird and animal life they come accross, including paddymelons, king parrots, crimson rosellas, rainbow lorikeets, kookaburras, water dragons, possums, goannas, blue crays and the occassional black cockatoo. Artists and photographers are drawn to the local arts and crafts scene and make the most of Springbrooks lush landscapes, perfect to photograph, sketch or paint. With little light pollution Springbrook is a great location for star gazing on a clear night. And just down the road there's Springbrook Observatory, that offers night tours on the weekends. Keen cyclist will appreciate some of the best riding that the hinterland has to offer. Whether it's the challenging 8 km climb up Springbrook road, or the quiet country lanes, it's a unique experience. The cottage is ideal for a couple seeking a quiet intimate getaway with all the facilities you need on your doorstep Park the car when you arrive and you won't need it till you leave! Families seeking a unique nature experience will appreciate the cottage, with lots of activities and adventure for the kids (there's even a skate park a short walk away) and plenty or relaxation for mum and dad. The cottage is also great for Birdwatchers, bush walkers and cyclists.
