Unique flat: Fireplace, sauna, nearby the woods

Enjoy the best of both worlds! Near nature and the city. The huge Oslo woods with its trails, hills and lakes is 1/2 km away. And downtown 30 min away with a bus stop right outside. This studio is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Many work from home these days, so we have added a sitting+standing desk. The flat has a fireplace and a sauna. The bath has been totally refurbished. We call it our spa! (It is of course just for your private use while you are here.) The heating is in the floor of both the fireplace room and bath making it nice and comfortable. Kitchen has a fridge, a stove, a capsule coffee machine and is supplied with all necessities. This is a basement apartment and has an outdoor stairs to its own entrance. There is garden area available upon request for quests. Free WIFI. We respect our guests' privacy. But if you want information or have any questions, we are more than happy to help you and give you ideas on all the great things to see and do in Oslo! There is a separate entrance to the flat. The ceiling is in cement and quite soundproof, for the privacy of both of us. Situated high on one of the hills surrounding Oslo in an attractive residential area, right next to the huge woods which the city prides itself on, yet only 8 kilometers from downtown Oslo. There are hundreds of kilometers of trails available for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. We provide maps for you. Downhill skiing is also possible just up the road. Or swimming in the stream which comes straight from the drinking-water lake in the valley below. The 56 bus stops 100 m from the flat and leaves every 15 minutes during rush hours. It takes 10 minutes to get from the flat to the hub "Storo". Many metro, bus and streetcar lines leave from "Storo". With the metro it takes about 15 minutes to get to the city center. Public transportation gets you wherever you want to go in Oslo. There are 2 great apps: Ruterbillett for tickets and Ruterreise for plotting the quickest and easiest route. There isn´t room for parking on our lot, but there is free street parking 200 meters down the street. Velkommen til Oslo!
