Hiking Hideaway on the Ridge

Come and enjoy a few days in the Hudson Valley. Located on 7 acres in Beacon, NY, our place is a short ride to Main Street and family-friendly activities including art galleries, restaurants, museums, hiking and sightseeing. The nightlife is lively especially on Second Saturday, and you are only little over an hour by train to NYC. You'll love the secluded ridge location, and your friendly host and hostess. Our home is your home, featuring private quarters with three single beds and a comfortable couch to accommodate a fourth guest. The two single beds can become a king size bed upon request. The space is dedicated to your party only. There is a kitchenette with a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave conveniently located in the dining area. We also offer outdoor dining and grilling on the back porch. Continental breakfast is available every morning and coffee or tea are available any time. Our ridge hideaway has easy access to various hiking trails, art galleries and museums, shops and restaurants, and NY historical sights. Information about local attractions will be available at the house. If we are available, we are happy to pick you up or drop you off at the train or Stewart Airport. You'll have access to the entire private suite located in the lower level of the house, including indoor and outdoor eating areas, barbecue grill, and the property. A continental breakfast will be provided each morning, and coffee or tea is available any time. Use the outdoor or indoor eating areas at any time. Guests have access to the front and side porch for relaxing as well as the grounds for strolling, hiking, or playing games. Your private quarters offers premium TV, reading materials and board games. You will have access to 1/2 bath in lower level and a full bath up the flight of stairs. Towels, shampoo and. face soap are provided. We will offer any help at all to discuss places to go, what to see and what events might be taking place in the area. Our property is shared with several wild species including wild turkeys, white tailed deer and some lovely song birds. We often also see coyotes, but only usually middle of the night. Our view is wonderful, especially when trees are in full color. Sunsets are a thrill and different each night. The night sky is a canopy of stars for your enjoyment. There are several cab companies in the immediate area, but the most cost effective mode of transportation is now Uber. If we are available, we'd be happy to pick up or drop off at the train station. We are located about two miles from the center of town. Uber is now in the Hudson Valley. It is the most cost effective way to commute from town to our home or to the train station. If I am available, I will be happy to transfer you to or from the train station. We also have direct access to the Blue Trail that connects with Mount Beacon. No need to transfer to Mt. Beacon Park to access the Mt. Beacon trail. Less crowds no need to park your vehicle.
