Britannia Cottage

A charming small, sunny south-facing, two bedroom detached cottage. The entrance opens out onto a small pretty courtyard with an enclosed garden. Our cottage is in the picturesque village of Stoke Fleming, a ten minute walk from the beautiful and popular beach, Blackpool Sands. The white washed 18th Century cottage sits next to the church and opposite The Green Dragon Pub. The cottage comprises of a downstairs sitting room with a log burner, TV and DVD player. Furnished conservatory leading to the garden. A kitchen/diner with electric cooker, small fridge and dishwasher, no microwave.Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with two singles. An adjoining bathroom with a bath/shower and accessed by both bedrooms. An outhouse containing washing machine and dryer. The garden is enclosed with a good sized lawn. Guests may access all areas of the property I don't live locally, however my niece who looks after the cottage lives in a nearby town and can be contacted if necessary. The village has its own shop which sells essentials as well as newspapers and freshly baked bread. There are lovely rural walks as well as the walk down to the beach. The Green Dragon pub serves food as well as Radius 7, a good restaurant, just down the road. The village is also just along the coast from Dartmouth the beautiful town sitting on the Dart Estuary which has lots of good restaurants and you can walk there ,along the coastal path in under an hour. You can park your car at the top of the village, in a small carpark just a minute walk from the cottage. Totnes train station is 25 minutes' drive and there are many local taxi firms. The village sits on the South West coast path which provides stunning walks.
