Summary: Welcome to your retreat; in this historic town of Frome, Somerset. We offer the chance to relax but with easy access to wonderful walks, shopping, eating and many visitor attractions. Frome is a vibrant town and has frequently been crowned the best town in the UK. It is recognized as one of the ‘Best Places to Live in Britain’ by The Times. In addition to the markets Frome offers independent shops and easy access to Bath, Bradford on Avon, Wells, Cheddar, Longleat and Stour-head. The Space: Selwood Cottage retreat is a beautifully private, self contained annex to the main Selwood Cottage. Your home will be spotlessly clean and comes with all the amenities needed for your perfect stay. The owners have just improved the cottage with replacement windows and front door and also redecorated and soft furnishings changed, making the annex even more cosy for your comfort! The setting is idyllic and wonderfully peaceful. Our place can be found at the end of a long, private drive and is surrounded by fields and an orchard. The annex comprises of a living area with a sofa, TV and small electric pretty fireplace; a lovely clean bathroom with a large double shower; a fully-equipped kitchen with a high spec coffee machine and dishwasher; a double bedroom with a good quality bed and linen. There is so many stunning walks right on your doorstep. The space is perfectly sized for 2 adults. We can accommodate an additional 1 person sleeping on the sofa bed, however recommend that the annex is really only suitable for 2. The annex has its own front door with key safe and patio doors lead from the double bedroom directly onto the terrace shared with the main house. The annex has access to its own patio table and 2 chairs on the shared patio. If you are sat outside enjoying your coffee or a drink you may be visited by our very friendly Labrador who loves a bit of fuss!! The Neighborhood: Selwood Cottage Annex is a charming space set at the end of a private drive in a rural setting. The famous Bath Christmas Market is usually open from the 3rd Thursday in November until the 2nd Sunday in December, it is a wonderful event, not to be missed! Getting Around: Full public transport services are available in the nearby town of Frome. Other Things to Note: Please see special notes on suitability for sleeping numbers. Perfect and spacious for two, but there is a possibility to accommodate up to 1 additional person on request. Interaction with Guests: We -Tony and Jane live in the attached cottage. We have a dog and 3 cats - all friendly! Entrance will be through your own private front door with a key safe- there is no need for us to disturb you, but are more than happy to help you with any questions you may have about the local area and offer any help that would make your stay more enjoyable.
