Little Pippins - Cotswold Staycation.
A unique one bedroom detached stone cottage built in 1807, with far reaching views over the historic village of Avening to Gatcombe Wood. The recently refurbished house, with log burning stove, south facing lounge/kitchen/dining room, bedroom, en-suite and dry stone walled courtyard garden, will provide a cosy retreat. The cottage is available with a super king size bed. Alternatively, twin beds with prior notice. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, hob, oven, dishwasher and microwave. Exclusive use of south facing walled courtyard garden, living room made cosy with log burner for those cooler times of the year. Come and go as you please, you'll have the whole cottage, courtyard garden and parking to yourselves, with direct access from the lane. We have lived in the village for over 20 years and have good local knowledge that we are happy to share. We are lucky to enjoy two pubs in the village, both of which serve food, either to eat in or take away. Alternatively, you may wish to take advantage of the many cafes, bistros and restaurants in the neighbouring markets towns of Nailsworth and Tetbury. If you prefer to make use of the kitchen in the cottage, there are supermarkets, a farmers market and many independent shops within easy reach. This is a rural village with limited public transport links. Once you have arrived you can of course make use of the many quiet lanes and footpaths on foot or bicycle (secure bike storage available). Local taxi firms are available to take you to nearby towns should you wish to make use of the many fine bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. Should you need to do a little work during your stay, 100mbps fibre optic internet direct to the cottage is freely available.
